To speak negatively about a picture when you have no background information is just ignorance!! I trust that you have given both those boys everything they have needed to help them thrive. Failure to Thrive can really interfere with the young animals growth. Once an animals growth is stunted the damage is done. I support you in your decisions Lynn!! Thanks for a great video and stay safe!!🙏❤🇺🇸
Thanks Cindy. I didn't mean for this to be an issue though. I just thought it weird to be criticized for trying to help animals who probably would have died otherwise ❤
Of all the sheep farming channels on TH-cam, you are the best. Having a critical question and waiting for the answer has been turned into direct criticism. Some people just need to stay in their own lane. I appreciate you showing us your best practices and the hardships that come with them. Farming is so much more than a video ànd i think you do a great job of expressing that. Though it's a mute point now, who cares how long you give a lamb milk? It's your time and money, and it's not abusing the animals. I can't farm like I used to, and watching your videos helps fill that void. So, thank you for sharing your life with us. ❤
Thanks. I didn't see what the harm was either. I mean, it doesn't hurt them, and it certainly helped him!😁 I truly don't care what people think about things like that anymore, but thanks for standing up for me. 🥰 I just thought it was a weird thing to criticize!😅
Lynn, I agree with everything Bev said. People need to mind their own business. Your farming methods are the best I’ve seen on any channel, and if Little Mister needed a couple extra months with the bottle so be it. You know your sheep! 🥰
I agree, best sheep farm on TH-cam! Lynn, don’t listen to the haters. You know exactly what you’re doing. Your lambs look absolutely beautiful, happy and healthy. You put love and care into your animals. Arnie, good work with the hay! I just love you guys! You’re both sheep farming rockstars!
Good afternoon Arnie and Lynn. Awww. I don’t criticize you at all. You know your sheep. And they are so very happy that you love them. He so wants to do what you want. Ben is such a sweetheart and a very happy boy. Those boys are babies at heart. Some beautiful faces on those Dorsets. I find all the information about the creep feed very interesting. Your sheep look wonderful. Take advantage of some spare time. Always nice to be able to take a deep breath. Nice looking bales. Always support you guys. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉😉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. And of course big big hugs to you both. ❤❤❤❤❤
@patriciaruppert201 Thank you. Your ongoing support means a lot to us! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 We have The Wandering Shepherds hiking vlogs coming up on Sunday mornings instead of shorts when we do find the opportunity to get away, so be sure to check them out even if they are silly!😅
You have such a good heart and LOTS of patience! Little Mister would not stood a chance at all without the extra care. I guess critics would have just either let him suffer or kill him so they didn't have to bother with the extra work...sigh WE appreciate the care and efforts you make with all your sheep!❤
Thanks. He totally wouldn't have made it without all that extra care and believe me, he had me very frustrated. But, look at him now, he's FINALLY eating! It's a miracle 😆
I'm sorry you got criticized for bottle feeding for too long when you had no other choice. It's too bad that Little Mister traps himself under the feeder like that, i wonder why but you are always pretty patient which is necessary in that situation. Spartacus will probably handle weaning a little better. The twins are lovely. Ben jumped right over that fence! How impressive! The bales look good. Thank you for explaining your corn protein mix Arnie! Second cut is finally done! Time sure flies. Have a great day Lynn and Arnie, i loved the video! See you tomorrow! ❤🐑
M/s @Ewetopia farm, Your sacrifice to take us through your farm activities is indeed informative. Thank you very much. For the few criticism floated around are just but a drop of blood in the ocean and worth ignoring them all together. Respectfully yours, MG
Congrats on the Dorset sale! You only started using wrapped bales a few years ago. What did you do before? You don’t have enough shed space for 400 4’ bales. Did you have a loft full of silly bales? Are silly dry bales easier to make than 4’ dry bales?
In the past, we did have the old barn full of little squares plus dry round bales that yes, we do have enough storage for. However, that hay was mostly grasses which dry better. When we switched to wrapped when we started adding alfalfa, we actually hired a guy to come here and do it. After a few years of trying to make that work, he finally bought his own wrapper. Custom work is okay for lots of jobs but for hay which is extremely time and weather sensitive, it just didn't work well at all.
They go in our sheds and lean-tos but we actually did have an upper loft at the back of the old barn too. Small squares went in the main barn loft @alisoncummins2726

So sorry your getting unwanted advice about your bottle feeding, both those lambs needed a little extra TLC, which you recognized. On another farm, they would not have survived. That’s the difference, it’s called compassion for animals. Your feeding ration is very interesting. I wish I had Arnie to make up my rations lol. I tend to stick to pellets as I’m not brave enough to feed that much corn. I’ve had the odd ewe and lamb bloat, so that has scared me off. They also choke on a finer ration, I think my sheep are gluttons though🤣I give my ewes a 36% pellet mixed with whole corn and whole barley when they are closer to lambing and then post lambing. But literally only 2 cups per ewe per day.
Believe me, Suffolks would put Dorpers to shame in the gluttony category!🤣🤣 To each his own. It is always what works on your farm, and your animals look great! I still have to go visit. Maybe a Wandering Shepherds/Ewetopia Farms trip?!?
Sorry Lynn that people behind keyboards think they now better than you. I could really say allot about people's ignorance but I'll leave it at that. I'm glad it is slowing down for yall abit. Because before you know it you will be swamped again. Such is life though. Going to the next I missed
Boy, some people, that have to judge when they don't know the story?? Lynn, i wouldn't listen to those who are rheeming you out about Sparticus and little Mister, they need that extra nutrients, since they are the latest. But they both look good and if anyone knows, you do!
Thanks, Tamra!😁 I'm sure they wouldn't have made that remark if they had followed them on our channel, but obviously, they just thought we were weird people bottle feeding adult sheep!😆
I see the hay rake on this video it looks nice.
