But non-fatally shooting them is ok? Their "test" would've killed him if he had been lying about how effect the vests were so I got the sense they just didn't care about that particular arms dealer in the first place they knew that if they had to stick around to kill Hank they're not going to want to be dodging the police. It's just apparently they WERE willing to kill that guy if it had turned out he was willing to send them into battle with defective vests.

Aaron Paul's acting here was phenomenal, but I felt that he's "lucky" Walt's character didn't decide to let Gus handle this problem. If Walt wasn't as sympathetic to Jesse's character he would never have been allowed to threaten the Meth empire that Walt cooks for.
So many little things had to be true for the story to play out the way it did. If Walt didn't start to love Jesse like a son, Gus has Jesse killed and everyone lives happily ever after. If Gale didn't convince Gus to hire Walt, or if Gus didn't care about 99% vs 96%, much of the story never happens. Or if Skyler reports Walt to the police.
Walt knew exactly how to manipulate Jesse into accepting. Watch how calculating Walters face is when Jesse mentions his meth. I think Walt was looking for a reason not to have Jesse killed aswell, Walts offer was really trying to save his own skin and jesse's life at the same time.
@@CraigKostelecky Agreed. Even though Walt is often verbally abusive to Jesse, he still cares for him. By framing Gale and bringing Jesse in Walt is protecting both Jesse and Hank: 1) Gus would kill Jesse if he knew of Jesse's threat to turn in Walt. 2) Jesse now won't press charges against Hank.

Mark Margolis doesn’t have a huge role, but I do enjoy his role as Hector Salamanca in this show. Outside of the flashbacks, he’s gotta do his acting without saying a word. I was wondering why Hank didn't run away in his car : I think he didn't escape after receiving the call, because it was really the best time to "kill the threat" for him :)
They have cameras in the parking lot. They could've just pulled the CCTV. All he knows is that someone MIGHT be coming (or it could be a joke) but doesn't know who he's supposed to be looking for or how they're going to approach his car so he can't decide what he should do.
Even with PTSD, Hank's training kicked in and he did the right thing. Hank knew the following: 1) Hank got a warning call. The brothers think they still have the element of surprise and will be careless. Definitely Hank's best chance (as you said). 2) It's obvious the brothers know how to track Hank. If Hank ran or fled by car - They would most likely get their surprise attack next time. 3) Hit men willing to kill DEA agents don't like to leave witnesses. Assuming a second attempt - If Hank were with Marie, her life would also be in danger. 4) Hank had no guarantee of a future warning. 5) Parking lot cameras would help in identifying the brothers if they got away.

Good Spanish speakers: twins, tuco, the one who gives the turtle to Trejo and the main cartel boss that appears in season 4.
