This seems to me that he's still a good person even though he's not exactly kind/nice. Heck, even Iwaizumi get a brunt of his teasing at times. Also, people throwing the word trauma around just like that minimise the real connotation of that word. Like trauma is a serious thing for people to have, and it can negatively effect their life. There are other serious problems with Kageyama that traumatise him in middle school, and none of it was Oikawa specifically if they actually watch the anime or read the manga. Heck, Oikawa mostly avoided Kageyama and won't directly act petty towards him unless Kageyama seeks him out or they're playing against each other.
