In a TAS the PLAYER has to INPUT the movements of the character, the only difference from a TAS to a player, is that a TAS can control the game and record their inputs so for example a TAS can make the game super slow and dodge attacks perfectly frame by frame and record that input, and then replay that input whenever they want after recorded, TAS normally also has acess to things like save states and load states plus rewinds. TAS is literally just the player but they can basically do anything frame by frame and load state or rewind if they mess up, this is not the same thing as a bot, bots generally come with certain inputs by default and their own intelligence that is why they're called bots because they can play the game by themselves with their own digital intelligence, but that is not what happen in a TAS since the player still need to play the game, the only difference is that they can control the game frame by frame.
