Construction of Palais Guell began in 1885 and was completed in 1890. It is a stunning residence.
Although the exterior is low-key and not overly decorated, the luxury inside is stunning. Guests entered by carriage through the parabolic arch at the front, and the horses could walk down the gangway into the cellar where the servants lived, while guests ascended the stairs to the reception room.
The rooms are distributed around the central hall, which is like an inner courtyard, full of light, and the chimney design on the top floor is full of Gaudi's unique style.
