Clark needs to be traded or Sides needs to be fired. Either way Sides is too stupid to know what to do with Clark. It’s a god damn simple pick and role system that Clark and Boston need to be running. Either Clark gets a pick set for her by Boston and they make a play off of that or Clark is moving off of the ball during the pick and roll to get the weak side pass once the defense collapses on Boston. It junior high level stuff.
What team would trade for her or where would she want to go?

@@Jricks1992 Unfortunately, she was never forced to play defense until now. She is getting better at it, but it's still weak. She's bringing a whole lot to the WNBA, and that should be appreciated. With more pressure than ever before put on a rookie, she's handling it well, although has a way to go. I have absolutely no doubt she'll be a superstar if the naysayer pressure doesn't get to her.
They need a point guard and move CC back to shooting guard.
She would be much better moving through screens, catch and shoot type action.

The strategy worked out perfectly - CC draws double and even triple teams and her teammates just need to convert on their opportunities. Not going to say she has anything more than a quiet night offensively but the win is more important than individual play.
I noticed in the final quarter she was being guarded by Howard who l think is their best player. While she was preoccupied with CC, she couldn't have been devoting her attention 100% to offense.

Nothing against Clark she’s a great shooter with remarkable range but the way certain media is hyping her, that may be to pacify CC fans but basketball people can see the difference. Those were not elite defensive plays, the offensive player just missed the easy shot except one play where she did knocked the ball out on the drive. Wish her well and understand this is your rice bowl, you can look that up if you don’t know what that means, but over hyping her isn’t going to help her in the long run🏀🏀🏀

It was very good defense. She's not known for defense, but she is a very capable defender.
Her shooting was poor last night. He defense was not.
She had too many turnovers, but she continues to make plays for her teammates.
one of the biggest differences between NBA and wNBA is the poor conversion rate around the rim. Womens ball misses lots of gimmies compared to men. She, and other pgs around the league prob have 3-4 assists a night that are just blown.
She and her Team, are the embodiment of learning on the fly.

Clark should be 15-20 to get any rhythm. But Clark’s average has now drop to 12.6 shots per game.
Clark took 15 shots to get 30 points against Mystics. But Sun 6 shots and 11 against Dream. Nope not even close to what is norm or needed to get into rhythm.
@@hardensoul7248 She took 11 shots last night, that is only about 1 shy of her average. Also you don't need to be putting up anywhere near 20 shots if you are 3-11 to start. If she forced up more shots she probably would have been something like 5-15 or 6-20. That's not exactly good.

I am a CC fan but getting tired of how media keeps highlighting successes and downplaying failures. Your title talks about "elite defense". Why not mention her poor shooting and turnovers (again) in this game.. No credibility on your part!

Her coach sucks and is destroying what makes her talented. Her stats will suffer as a consequence. Is that a good enough explanation for you? Yes, they won but because her team was lazily rewarded with all the finishes rather than them hustling to create offense throughout the team. The barely won when they could be dominating, and that is because the coach, the players seem more bent on pushing Caitlyn down than complimenting her. She is their franchise player and deserves that respect. But these players are a reflection of the lack of greatness of the WNBA. There you made me say it. The WNBA had its chance, and it has decided on sucking instead. Guess it’s time to watch NHL.
