Powerful high torque ac 230v permanent magnet motor

  • It is a special type ac permanent magnet motor and it runs with 230v ac supply
    The motor has 4 stator poles and 8 rotor poles
    Here i using commutator and it is modified such that it senses the rotor poles and feed the fwd and rev supply according to the poles are sensed.

    i would put current limiter so my commutator leads dont fry in case they short , they are connected to grid so careful

      Here i connected the stator winding and commutator terminals are in serious if the commutator short circuit nothing happen
      Here i have connected some diodes at one end of commutator some sequence
      Of the rotor poles
      That is north pole comes, the diode allow the current in one direction
      When the south pole comes the diode allow the current in opposite direction
      No of diodes are selected according to the no of poles ratio.

      Yes it is possible to controll the motor by using fan regulator because it consume only 10watts
      It is a small sample motor for adapting my concept
      Next i am going to convert mixi motor with the same concept sir

    Hi Sir, wonderful job. I have a new idea for a motor. Shall we try Axial Flux Induction motor? Basically, stator is same as axial flux BLDC but for rotor, instead of permament magnets, we use a single copper/aluminium/graphene disc connected to the shaft. Then, we stack several layers one on top of another. To control, we use Arduino to change the speed of UVW Switching and PWM to control voltage.

    Vannakkam Senegan Sir, did you not face problem in efficiency due to air gap of this design?? It is a very innovative design getting a frame to hold rotor from a plastic jar was simply awesome, Super intelligent and great design sir Nalla design 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

      Here i using new concept that is
      I have connected diodes at one end of commutator. The rotor poles are equal to no of diodes and connected at commutator it senses the pole and feed the fwd and rev supply to stator poles according to poles

      This is the motor like dc series motor. Here i connected diodes between set of commutator segments that one diode in fwd direction and another diode in rev direction. Sothat the commutator conveet the ac supply into dc fwd and rev direction according the rotor poles.
      If you reduce voltage level the motor speed will reduce accordingly
