This is a truly eye opening video. I was talking to my uncle because I had the idea that I wanted so much more than just being a nurse because I wanted materialistic items, such as wanting a hellcat. My uncle said “why,” I genuinely did not have a good answer for him. I replied, “I like how it sounds.” This video expresses how, many will think that they “want” or “need” something, in all actuality it is really pointless. As long as you’re able to get from point A to B, I don’t need or want the hellcat. More is less.
You're still a young kid. These concepts are beyond your grasp at this time. My advice? Get the hellcat so you get it out of your system and know what it feels like. It's just a car, but remember to do your best to focus on other important areas of your life like family and being a human being worthy of respect. These things I've had to learn the hard way that I wish I knew when I was younger.
Minimalism isn't limited to physical possessions. One should also eliminate unessential activities, hobbies/interests, obligations, and even relationships. This can be a challenge to maintain, as others may see the minimalist's freedom as an opportunity to take advantage of. ("You're not very busy, so why can't you do X, Y, and Z for me?")
Damn what a "less" life I believe life is all connections and possibilities and if you start doing less; doors opened but you didn't take a step, and I believe this is hell life or even dangerous life to yourself and others.
Stoic philosophers really helped me a lot. "Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others" , i commented here before part 3 of the video just by hearing the name of epictetus , it's good you also mentioned about stoicism in the video. I can proudly say that all the stoic philosophers Seneca, plato, epictetus, Marcus Aurelius are my teachers and I'm glad their teaching survived. All the quotes you mentioned in video are among my favourites and going through my head in the first part of the video. And then all of them comes in third part. Felt good.
I'm very grateful to start at age 16 and now 18 is when it becomes serious. I have become what I hoped for 2 years ago but it still not enough as I could do better.
Phew⚡️thank you. Clarity. Over the years, the more i looked within, the more i saw that my cravings sprang from deprivation. I'm perpetually in withdrawal. The more consciously i grieve, craving diminishes, at least sometmes, as understanding develops that what was lost can never ever ever ever infinity be restored. I was startled by your 3rd category of desires. My acupuncturist explained: in TCM traditional Chinese medicine, where feelings/behaviors are strongly correlated to meridians, stomach is not just the organ of digestion, it also functions in procuring the food. Acquisition thus is a stomach meridian function, including acquiring wealth, power, and sex
This video is a masterpiece. This is such a well-executed video. You deserve more recognition it literally made me not crave to eat more, and changed my perspective completely. Sometimes we forget what we have in front of us, and to be grateful. It's a weird world out there and insane how the world works. Gosh, I love philosophy. It makes life more durable and answers the world's wonders or simplifies because the world is one pure wonderful mess that sometimes doesn't make sense.
I wonder if I want more stress and more problems and more misery and more unhappiness in my life if fate will throw me a bad hand and I will find my self happy and relaxed. That would suck to feel good.
once you accomplish true minimalism, you will find yourself sitting crosslegged on the floor for the 3rd month in a row and think. "man , this crap is boring. I am a master of doing nothing." Its called retirement.
Wow video is great but its too short brother to grow on philosophy niche you need to make some longer videos ranging from 15 to 20 min hope it would help

You can still save up for a hellcat. I'm like you, I want a fast car, but it doesn't really change your life and you'll get used to it in a few weeks.
Or you can save up for what really brings value to your time. But in your case you can always get what you worked hard for 👍

I've came up with most of these ideas organically somehow, yet it took 35-ish years... This video could have saved me good 20 years of frustrations...

Thanks for the video ❤, very helpful, keep making videos like this
Thank you for this video, you have brought a lot of my questions in to clarity. The world makes me think that being content is not enough
Very true 👍
Capitalism and contentment are not friends.
Never settle for less
Great job❤
I love that you used the Moonlight Sonata for this videos music. I love that piece
We need each other.
You can experience real pleasure only through limitations.
only through suffering

right, I want to minimize my stress. why do I keep ending up with more. I want less stress and fewer problems in life. Paradoxically..
Good video brother!
I wonder if I want more stress and more problems and more misery and more unhappiness in my life if fate will throw me a bad hand and I will find my self happy and relaxed. That would suck to feel good.

Nice
Can you suggest some books about this topic?

Less stuff, more money in the bank
All you need is a motorcycle to achieve happiness
