The first thing I done upon reading "London Bridge is Down" in a group chat of mine was to ask my Google Home Mini to play BBC Radio 1, and it was the way I knew that she had died.
This will ring memories for me for long time forward.
RIP, Long live the Queen.
Have a drink every time the announcer says ''This is BBC News.''
To make this a duel you would need 54 shot glasses and 2 sick buckets.
Czech: Yes.
I'm pleased that someone had the foresight not to switch BBC Radio Cymru to the English-language news output.
The announcement on BBC cymru was an exact translation of the english announcement
Too bad nobody at Nan Gàidheal had the same idea.
@@SigmaRho2922 except they didn’t mention “the Queen Consort”. Probably couldn’t think of the word for consort under the pressure of the moment.
The Welsh sometimes use the English word when no Welsh one can be found!
I'm shocked of the death of the queen.
I'm even more shocked to learn there are lots more BBC Radio stations that I did not know about
Fly high your majesty 🕊
God save the king

I’m Canadian and I’ve been fascinated by the response to the Queen’s death in the UK. She’s a very big deal.
Only to a certain class of people or people who think they're of that class but aren't
Well she *WAS* the Queen of your country.
A small addition: BBC4 and BBC5 went all-news a few hours before, so they broke the news a couple of minutes before switching to the official announcement which is registered here. Here BBC5: th-cam.com/video/xjVE-CR6VcI/w-d-xo.html
Anyone here who knows the person who announced the Queen's death?
Apparently someone called Chris. After his announcement, there was a woman who said "Thank you Chris"
Chris Aldridge.
He read the Six O'clock News on BBC R4 earlier that day

This is BBC News...
I knew the queen’s death from the Armenian news. 30 minutes later,
5X: This is BBC news. LIVE SPORTS
