- This is a video I made while on tour 9 in Bay Head and Belmar New Jersey on the New Jersey Transits North Jersey Coast Line with a train ride on a 13 minute journey through the towns of Point Pleasant Beach my old home town then Manasquan then Spring Lake then getting off in Belmar. It was the most bumpiest and jerking ride I have ever been on. They need to junk those coaches for the under carriage and shocks are damaged plus the engineer does not know how to stop the train smoothly. Must have been a rookie.

Alan, what do you believe will be the chance that the New Jersey Transit Authority will consider your critique concerning the condition of the passenger rail coaches? If it was me stating the same as you, then I would say just two chances; slim and none! You can always guarantee the prospective failure of any bureaucratic agency because the left-hand rarely has any idea what the right hand might be doing.
Hey there is a nice place to eat lunch and watch csx and norfolk southern trains. Look up local 7 on main street tucker. It has a outside patio with seats facing the train tracks train come through there every 15 to 20 mins.
True. The coastline does have the worst equipment out of the NJT lines. Well, the rolling stock anyway.
Awesome Video Alan!
Haven't heard from you in a while, hope your okay! Give me a call tonight if you can!
Will call you. coming up to Jersey with the girls next week.
You’re coming back to NJ?
I’m from nj and I see their trains a lot but I have to admit that they are not a very good railine
Every train I go see is late or a really bumpy ride
I worked on the North Jersey Coast Line from Bay Head to Newark as a conductor back in the late 70's early 80's. I lived in Point Pleasant Beach for 20 years next to the train station.
