You have sublime control of that app Sir. and your style reminds me of my childhood when I would get CarTOONS mags. :).

sooo cool!!! this is something ive been wanting to learn for a long time. do you have any suggestions. I can handle the adobe illustrator stuff, it’s the sketching i’m having troubles on. how do you decide what parts of the car and figure to exaggerate? is it like character art, where you exaggerate unique feature to that specific car. just curious about your process. any kind of insight or links would be very much appreciated. thanks

Thanks so much Eric! Well I typically exaggerate the wheels and engine, and not too much on the body of the vehicle, just enough to make look a little “bloated” but I never really think it through that much if something hits me I’ll rough sketch it in pencil first, it might take 10 tries to get it too look cool or funny, but I just keep sketching til it looks good then scan it and go from there. Another thing, like I’m this drawing is really making the back look small like far away, and the front end look big and close so it looks like it’s really coming at ya. Almost like looking thru a GoPro camera with fisheye look, or wide angle lens look.

Jeff. I love your hotrod illustrations. Do you have any tutorials to help inspire me as to how to begin learning this style?
