Same problem to myself, I'm also in Coimbatore, I kept maid only for Sunday for full house broom and mopping, windows and door cleaning booz I'm available full day only in sunday, other days we can make light cleaning and compulsory kitchen cleaning / cooking ,
U people can go for home gadgets such as dishwasher and robotic vacuum so that anyone can handle them easily and it takes our time for 10 or 20 minutes only and the cleaning process is also so good. Similarly, u can have ceiling cloth drying hangers , so the process of drying clothes in the outside doesn't take our time. Meal planning can be done on a weekly basis and the prep work for the items can be done and refrigerated such as ginger garlic paste, tomato onion paste and garam masala powder etc. U can go for some MasterChef jars in the mixie so cutting veggies could be done easily for 1 week and refrigerated.
Before ywo years, after shifting to the new area, I am also had this issue sister. It is so hard to manage without maid. We invest in a good washing machine and practice to do the work. Now a days dishwasher is popular one. Please think of that.
Dishwasher is so usefull for washing tiffin boxes. Mainly small vessels. Big items can be washed by hand in ease. We bought dishwasher during covid time. Its really usefull to manage things with 2 young kids. Remaining house cleaning we do whenever we find time
We have maids... they are dishwasher, washing machine, food processor, hand vac, robot vacuum cleaner, good size refrigerator. All members should take care of their own items. Keep their own spaces clean.
Very nice decision ma'am... We will get used to it soon... I too don't like to encourage strangers at home... U both can also spend quality time for exercise.. So you will get more strength to do house chores
I agree on ur thought of having new maid difficult to trust...I'm ur follower from Malaysia ..Both myself n hubby is working ...I'm an accountant by profession...there is day I only came back at 8pm only ..mostly house cleaning part my hubby will do it...washing machine we will use 2 days once ..office wears I always hand wash ...usually I wake up at 5am ..prepare simple breakfast...n cook for lunch n dinner together ...coz hubby won't eat rice in the afternoon...he will come home n eat at home ...in this 14 yrs I manage all work by myself ...I will sometimes get part time maid to do cleaning once a while ...I will always make pre preparation for menu I want to cook...as we in malaysia our cooking style a bit differ n follow our Malaysian taste bud

Why don't you ask your neighbors for a maid? Getting a reliable maid is mere luck. My maid is trust worthy, but has a big mouth. I avoid entering the kitchen when she's in to escape from her dirty gossips😢
Hi Akila Akka/Murali Anna, My suggestion would be enquire your neighbors after couple of weeks u will surely get to know some maid details. And ask her to come at late evening (after 5:30/6) by that time you would be back to home!! Vessel cleaning is one of the hectic work cant be managed at all if we are going to work we have think twice before cooking something keeping vessels in mind.. And I wont suggest dishwasher as well.. They re using Bosch DW at my In-laws place we have scrub the milk vessels and kadai, we have arrange it properly and unload it.. Its really double the work I felt..
