Isn't it sad that a phenomenal talent likeJohnny Manuel still has to compete in talentshows like this. In a more honest world, he would have been signed by a huge record company and travelled the world to perform a long long time ago. This guy is phenomenal and I honestly pray for him that this is his moment, and he gets what he deserves.

He had a record deal in the U.S. like ten years ago that went nowhere. A foreigner like Sam Smith, Harry Styles or Louis Capaldi can sing romantic ballads and have success on the U.S. charts but not an American. And especially not a black artist, unless he wants to sing an R&B song filled with sexual innuendo. American pop radio is dominated by acts like Drake, Cardi B and DJ Khaled. No room for a real singer like Johnny. Sad but true.
Easily one of the best singers I’ve ever heard and he’s still not famous.

Johnny is the epitome of everything that is wrong with the American music industry. Pure raw vocal talent is ignored for what’s marketable. There’s no reason that a voice like this shouldn’t be appreciated at the highest levels

He is an incredible vocalist! However he is just a singer not an artist! Every performance he has done on tv is another artists version of a song! There is no originality. Just amazing vocals!

He didn't win any of them. His voice is powerful but his tone is not my style.
This man has been around the music business for some time already: AGT, Eurovision, etc. All important people in this business must have heard of him. His singing talent and vocal skills are out of this world. And nothing. Instead of being a huge star for whom the best songwriters write songs, he still has to subject himself to compete in competitions with amateurs. This is a proof how crippled the music industry is today.
I couldn't of said it better myself! They have a conveyor belt of the same boring artists year in year out. I wish there was a public funded record label we could Invest in or some label that actually wanted vocally talented people and not just see $$$ in the shit they release. Give me the 60s-90s back.

He was signed when he was a teenager. But as he said at AGT, he thought he was going to see the stars but it didn't happen that way.

If you don’t know as many seem in these comments not to (do your research before making assumptions and being so judgmental) Johnny was a child star at 14. He signed his first record deal then. He worked with the likes of NSYNC, Jermaine Dupri, and ‘Lil Bow Wow. His first LP came out at 16. The music industry is HARD. I live in the center of it in LA so I know. It’s not easy because there are many talented people out there. There are so many factors beyond talent unfortunately. So I’m proud that he’s continuing to put himself out there. It means he doesn’t quit like those commenting negatively probably do. And don’t bother with the nasty comments, he’s my friend, and I’ll block you.
Why would anyone comment negatively is what I wonder! He’s incredibly talented, deserves a real break and I love that he keeps the grind going 🙂❤️

He is one of the best singers I have EVER HEARD. The industry CAN NOT HANDLE His talent They can't control and contain it. That's why he is not famous in that environment. But truth has a very long shelf life. Even Simon on agt tried to pull him down and couldn't handle his talent. It is too Incredible.
