I love the layout of this home. The reading nook is perfect for grandkids when they visit. I would put a small wood burning fireplace in a corner of the living room. And I would add a covered porch to those doors in the master bedroom. Also, with a small fireplace for winter months. Such a welcoming and spacious home design. Thank you !❤
This is perfect!! I love the garage is pushed back down the side instead of up front. The much needed shoe caddy, the convenient pantry, and the lovely front porch! The half-bath and two full baths are essential. I wish I could build this wonderful home!

Absolutely beautiful design! Love all the wood in the kitchen and bathrooms. So warm and cozy. Wonderful layout which is something rarely seen in very modern homes. The decor is also that makes the house a real home to come home to.❤
My personal preference would be to eliminate seating at the bar. Tuck cabinets under the dining room side to hold glasses plates and serving dishes as well as tablecloths and napkins for a more formal family.
I love the house. I am a bookaholic, and the reading room is special. My only change would be a double-sided fireplace between the living room and the reading room for cozy winter warmth, and ambiance.
Take standing iron out. Find drawer to put fold out drawer iron. I have one. Fantastic. Then add cleaning cabinet and standing clean supplies in the iron board space. Laundry room place for those things or else a dedicated org system out garage door. Nice retiree house. Need more storage.. maybe add space and expand garage.
A few changes I would make such as a the porch at the back rather than the front, or both and a covered porch leading from the master bedroom, a study, I like the reading nook but you would need something solid to lean back onto to relax but otherwise it is a lovely design.
Nice plan, except for the kitchen. There isn’t enough counter space between the sink & the stove. I think I’d move the fridge to right next to the pantry, & move the stove opposite to the sink, widening that counter, of course. 👍🏼
While I love the fact that each bedroom has an ensuite, the master has a walk-in, it’s all one level, the garage is attached, and the laundry room is inside! There are lots of things to love, however, there is one thing that is a deal breaker for us: we want the public areas of our home - the living room, dining room, and the kitchen - to be open concept. We were born in the early sixties and so every home we lived in growing up were little boxes with smaller boxes inside. Now that we are planning our retirement and the home we want to live in, we are craving the space and huge windows that a space like that can afford. As I said, there are LOADS of things in this house that tick off boxes on our checklist, but we have worked hard our entire life, prioritized our children and their education and such, and now we have decided that for the first time in our lives it’s time to get exactly what we want. And for the first time in our lives we are going to allow that.
I didn't see a linen closet, nor a place for vacuum and mops unless they go in garage, same with hot water heater and furnace, . I think you need a fireplace instead of a book nook...you have one already in master. Cute house from front especially tucking the garage in back.
I would switch the master bath and closet so that people in the second bedroom would not be disturbed. I grew up in an old house with noisy water pipes. Other than that, think it’s great. Maybe make it a 2 car garage.

On this road we take to get to the next town, t😂here’s a beautiful farm house that was restored a couple of years ago, they took that house down to the studs and rebuilt it. They have this huge TV that you can see when driving down the road…I always think, what a shame.

This is the best one yet. The only thing I would change is a walk-in tub shower in the master bedroom. For handicap accessible.

I don't like the sink in the master bedroom. I like 2 separate sinks. I would also switch the tub and the shower.
