There are a couple of books out, you people should read. The Truth about the Devil. and The Man with Ten Horns. The first, The Truth talks about the Lucifer, and Satan, and the creation of witchcraft by Lucifer to unseat the God of heaven. His power was the dragon. Which gave him his power to fight a war in heaven, Rev. 12. The devil's power comes from the dragon, created in heaven. I know that is hard to believe. But Satan, at one time was in heaven. But, he wanted to take over heaven. Which led to his defeat, his demons, or angels, and the red dragon.
