What MHD tune are you running? Still going strong?

Which stage did you go for?
I just returned from my test drive of xhp tune. Wow it totally transformed the car into a totally different machine. The auto blip on down shifts are awesome when you have a tuned exhaust, and the shifts in D mode can't be felt. I LOVE THIS TUNE.
Is the Auto blip in Stage 3 or you tune it With the Settings
Arent you supposed to let the car adjust while you drive normal for 50 miles
I had XHP3 flashed to my M140i, but in the settings, I turned down the aggressiveness of the shifts -20% for each gear.
It changes really quickly, has the maximum torque limit (as my car is tuned to 634nm), but it doesn't over-rev the auto blip/throttle so much on down changes, and doesn't jerk you in your seat on up changes.
I think it's the best setting.

Which stage did you go with? I would like to eliminate the jerky upshifts so i might also go with the -20% on the aggressiveness but which stage did you use? 1-3?
Wanted to hear more about torque limiter removal and how it feels in 3rd.

Going to do Stage 2 soon … I honestly think the ZF8HP shifts insanely fast bone stock but if this can make it feel even better why not

Simple answer is you can't, or not in normal comfort mode any way, there is a way in sport mode or manual/sport mode, but my 435d displays the gears then anyway. Think we all want them displayed in normal driving mode, well we are unlucky, unless we get xhp or alpina flash.

How does the transmission hold up after awhile? Should you do a transmission fluid change at 60k miles? What about other fluids that need to be changed regularly with a tuned and modded car like this? For example break fluids, diff fluid, spark plugs, antifreeze... Thank you!!

No need. BMW uses a "lifetime" 200,000 mile fluid.
@@J-Kersting HA "lifetime" dont do this to your transmission..... ZF say change oil every 80.000-100.000 km and those are the producers of this wonderful transmission ... bmw just wanna sell you a new zf transmission when its dead :D
my biggest concern is how the transmission hold up over time with the tune.
I know this is a year late, but the 8ZF (8HP) 8 speed auto transmission holds up beautifully, its used in some aston martins its very reliable.
should be 100% if the flash is good.

Belive it or not, but the flash will actually make the trans more reliable
Been using XHP from day 1 on my e91 330d when the flash was made available, same on my f31 330d. Works wonders!
Can the F-Series be also flashed with a obd inpa cable and a otg adapter? want to flash my f30 330d also.
Would you say stage 1 is better for the adverse daily driver? Or stage 2?
Todd Priest stage 3 it’s only in manual mode or sport that your see the big difference you can drive in drive and it feels normal
just got my xhp yesterday. huge difference in shift time (both up shift and downshift) my only concern is if i should be messing with the custom settings on stage 3, or if i should just leave it alone

Hi Brian, can you compare the two transmission flash. Look like you have bm3 and xhp, can you compare them?
To get thr "true manual" without the flash just use your paddles but swith the gear lever to the left (sport position) then it will hold the gears and not shift
That is not true manual. The stock manual mode "sport position" lets you change gears but if you hold too long it will change gear by itself. With xhp you can put it so the car never will change gear by itself when in manual mode
Will this work in my F21 120d? I can't seem to find it on the compatibility list, but it's the same ZF 8 speed... Awesome content as always!!

does it add pressure to the transmission or it's safe ?
It adds more pressure (to prevent clutches from slipping.) Theres guys with N54 autos over 600whp with no issues. Don’t know about 8 speeds tho

Is this beneficial if you already have a DCT? Most of the vids I watch about this flash says things like "who needs a DCT?" and such. But i'm looking for anything to help me up the torque. So was hoping this would help
This is for the ZF6/ZF8 gearbox, not the DCT. You can't use this software.
When in comfort mode, does the flash make downshifts jerkier -- like when slowing down gradually, to stop at a light?

How much is it to purchase only 1 of the maps? I can only see myself using stage 2.
Also since I have MHD flashed on my car currently, would I need to remove it or can I keep it on and still download xhp??
Don't quote me on this but if I recall right you have to buy the full thing which is about 350.
Also once you flash tranny I think you'll have to reflash MHD and select the XHP option
keep MHD . Go back and reflash your MHD tune with the one that says "XHP or Manual Transmission"

Hi..i had a stg 2 xhp flash on my bmw 435d ..i decided to take the flash of and go back to factory software soon as it was done the cae now drops into second gear with a hard thump..it was 100% perfect before the flash got taken off and now this has happend..can you advice what u think has happend..
They separated the payments now, I believe you can choose which stage and not have to buy them all.

I know I’m late but I just had a question. When you go into manual mode do you still have to click the paddle to engage it or does it do it automatically if you turn on sport + mode. I like to drive in sport + but have the car shift so I’m curious to see if that is still available?

Maze Arc I had the bootmod one cause I did the ecu. I don’t see the need to buy the Xhp since bootmod trans is free with license

Hello.. I am driving a BMW 750I F01 with 6 speed from 2008. Do I need a Module in the Car or is it Purely the software Tuning from the App to the Car? I hate to have extra Modules in the Car. It has a cheap imagine. I want just the clean perfect software setup from Phone to Gearbox Chip! What does it cost and will the 6 speed also have these very fast Gear changes? As you know, the 8 Speed Transmissions in the Facelift Models already are faster from the Factory then the previous 6 Speed.
Can the supplied bootmod3 Enet cable be used to flash this or is the Thor thingy the only way to flash xhp?
Flashed it an hour ago. The whole progress went smooth. But when it is done. I started the engine and got Chassis Stabilization Malfunction error.
Now I can't use sport and sport + mode. I tried flash it stage 1 and 2. Same error when start the engine.
Did you ever figure out the issue?
When accelerating heavy do you feel the gear changes? On my Zf8 70x I can feel when in sport mode full throttle 1-2-3rd gear the whole car shakes when shifting thats normal? No weird noise but i can feel when shifting..
Christian Andolini this is normal because if you are in sport mode you want to have a faster and „sportier“ shifting...
Remember torque converters were designed to smooth out the transition between gears. That’s why DCT’s are so bad at low speeds. So if you’re feeling a harder shift in sport mode then yes that’s normal
That’s absolutely normal and called ‘load impact damping’ which is deactivated in sport/sport+ to give you a ‘racier’ feeling when shifting ;-)

More wear and tear, it can prematureley end your tranny in the long run, especially if you're making and extra120lb of torque already and now removing those torque saftey measures. By no means i'm discouraging this app. I want this on my f10

Something I've wondered about these cars before getting to test drive one (I plan on purchasing in a few months). Does the car upshift when you tell it to? My old Lexus was more of a "suggestion" to the transmission. If I floor it from a stop and shift to 2nd, it'll stay in first since that's the optimal gear. My current S4 however, if I do the same thing, will shift when I tell it to, which I much prefer.
How is it set up on these cars? Same question I guess for if you're at cruising speeds, and drop to say 5th, and punch it, will the car stay in 5th, or drop to 2-3rd for better acceleration?
I'm talking on stock tune or xHP tune, but I guess more so for stock tune.

It depends whether you are in drive, sport drive, or manual mode. Drive and sport drive will shiftdown when you floor it and in manual it will stay in whatever gear and let you floor it.
your 335i uses 8 gears in auto? i thought it only goes to 7
