The issue I have is I don’t know what I want to do. I want to do everything. I want to do OB/GYN, general , vascular, echo, PEDS and neuro 😂😂🤷🏾♀️ I graduate in May, so im praying GOD lead the way . I hope he open the right door.
Great job young lady! You express yourself positively and honestly. You sound as if you have more time in than you say. I've scanned for 20years, and I know you'll do well at whatever you choose to do in the long run. I would say to you, get all the registries you can as soon as possible. Abdomen, Vascular, and then maybe Peds or MSK especially if you're looking to start your own buisness. Good Luck!
@@Dothework4uhey I’m 45 and I’m trying to get in the program! I was a medical assistant for over 20 years! My daughter said in her nursing program there was a 60 year old woman! As long as you have the drive and motivation you should never worry about age! I thought the same at one point!
Welcome back I love your videos I am doing prerequisites for sonography I just started volunteering for my school I love it so far and I love the advice ❤
I am enrolling into an RDMS program in January and I know this career is for me, us having the same exact name (Cierra Brie’ana) is just a little God wink for me. Thank you for this♥️
Thank you for making this video. You explained everything so well and professional, you can definitely tell the compassion you have and your patients are lucky to get you!
I work as an athletic therapist, and rn I struggle with it being too client facing, always talking with the clients and educating them through their condition, exercises, etc. I’m socially exhausted by the end of the day. Would you recommend this job for more introverted people? Do you do a lot of talking with the patients, or do you focus on just explaining what to expect, and then doing your exam on them? I’m definitely okay with talking with clients, but it can get very exhausting when they expect you to fix their every problem, or having to listen to complaint after complaint (sometimes not even related to pain, personal lives too like you’re a psychological therapist). Is that something you deal with in your day to day?
@simplyem. Hey! Although I haven’t graduated yet, I’m about to start my second year of ultrasound school in the fall, so I can definitely say that sonography deals with a lot of patient interaction. This is one of the imaging modalities that has the most patient interaction, just because ultrasound is more hands-on than CT, MRI, etc. From the experience that I have gained at multiple clinical sites so far, patients will talk to you about anything. However, there are some patients who will stay quiet during the exam. So technically, you can just explain the exam to the patient and then complete it with minimal talking. It really just depends on the patient's mood and whether they see if the sonographer wants to keep the conversation going. Also, there are some exams where the patient shouldn’t really be talking, or they need to hold their breath in, etc. But I’m yet to be a professional, so I hope a Sonographer is able to answer your question better!
Hi! I'm moving to NY and planning to take sonography program. By the way, I'm from the Philippines and I finished an associate degree that is computer related program. I don't have any idea if I need this prerequisites or a placement test or an interview for me to be able to attend the school iwant in NY. Hope somebody in here can give me any idea what should I do and I would really appreciate it.
I believe you can transfer the classes that are required that you have already taken, but there probably will be prereqs that you need to take before applying to the sonography program. I’m in the same boat but i graduated with a social sciences degree, so i need to take physics and i believe some other classes
Hey! Do you have any tips for wrist pain? I have no idea what I’m doin wrong but this has never happened until recently. How should one fix that ergonomically?
Hey beautiful!! How much was the total cost of becoming sonagraper and was there any financial aid help you got , I appreciate if you can answer this for me thank you
I have clinical in jan, would you mind making a video of tips & things you wish people told you in before going in for clinical? I’m so terrified for them
They may be different depending on what school you attend. If you research some ultrasound schools websites and they should have a list of prerequisites on there
Hi i have been trying to find an accredited cardiac sonography school or college in USA. I am ready to relocate too . Can you share some of the colleges that provide this course. It would be great if anyone could mention the colleges in new york , Texas etc..please help me
Thank You for this video! Question, The Sonography school that is a commutable distance to me is a non-accredited one. It's been around for 40+ years, and it has good reviews. Will it be hard for me to get a job graduating from a non-accredited school or is getting the registry what matters?

You went through a bachelors program? I wish I had that drive to do that but I was like nah that’s too overwhelming
I used to feel the same way😭. I’m sure you’ll eventually figure it out once you start working!
Did you figure out what you liked most??
What route did you end up going?
Currently interested in taking a Sonography program and your channel is lifesaver as you have videos that answer my questions. Thank you! 🙏🏻
So glad that I could help! Thank you for watching

Very informative! Thank you!!!😇
You are so welcome!😉🩷
So is there advancement? sonographers can't diagnose. So what if u want to scan and diagnose ? Google isn't telling me anything
Radiologist, maybe ? I’ve also been doing a lot of research trying to find what field best fits me.
@aliciahicks3279 thanks and yea its so hard to pick.
you have to be a doctor to diagnose
Look into different specialties.
You would have to be a radiologist to diagnose
With fluids and such did you have to personally clean them or can you go get the nurse??? 😳
I would like to know the same thing

Thank you for these videos 💕
You are so welcome!
How do you deal with the smells from some patients?
I’m a dietary aid, going to school to be a sonographer. I wear a mask and that at least helps me a lot
I typically put a mask on. Double it if it’s really bad
Mask as they said. My friend found this product Nosa nose plugs and they work great they are a little pricey but worth it.
Hey beautiful!! How much was the total cost of becoming sonagraper and was there any financial aid help you got , I appreciate if you can answer this for me thank you
Hi. can a foreigner get sonographer job without any experience? How to get Canadian experience?
No you would have to have a certification
I have clinical in jan, would you mind making a video of tips & things you wish people told you in before going in for clinical? I’m so terrified for them
What are the prerequisites for sonography? My husband is military as well. I need something for myself now that we are done with kids
They may be different depending on what school you attend. If you research some ultrasound schools websites and they should have a list of prerequisites on there
Is that true that it's hard to find a job in this field?
Thank you for this video !
You’re welcome!
from which state u got ur certificate ? i would like to choose between RT and sonogram. I am still in pre req class and in NYC
Would i be able to become and be employed as a sonographer if i have chronic pain and use a cane?
