OMG - I never knew... wow. Had no idea of her health issues...
Good reaction! Coco Lee was the winner of The Singer 2016. She was born in the USA but moved to Hong Kong to pursue her singing career and became a star in China. Sadly she passed away last year.
KZ Tandingan was another Singer 2018 contestant and she's from The Philippines. KZ and Jessie J were the only English speakers on the show and neither spoke Mandarin, so they quickly became friends. Jessie J was KZ's idol and I'm sure she was thrilled to be singing with Jessie J. KZ had been eliminated an episode or two before this performance so she had been seated in the audience with the other eliminated contestants. She snuck backstage to surprise the audience when she appeared onstage with Jessie J and Coco. That's why KZ was wearing a pantsuit instead of a fancy dress like the other two. KZ had some wonderful performances but in the end, it wasn't likely that both foreign contestants were going to make the finals and Jessie J won out. If you want to check out performances by KZ, Rolling In The Deep and Say Something were the best ones in my opinion and show different sides of her talents. See You Again and Royals were almost as good.
I discovered the Singer 2018 while searching for Jesse J videos and was shocked to find out she was a contestant on a singing competition, this late in her career! After watching just one of her Singer videos told me, wait, something is "different" about this show. Besides Jesse, every single contestant is an established pro and all are AMAZING. All of Jesse' best performances, EVER. were done on this show.
But the most surprising and amazing talent was easily: KZ TANDINGAN
