  • From sleepless nights to potty training, motherhood can be far from glamorous. But is it ok to get others to do the dirty work for you? Paris Hilton has admitted to not changing her son’s nappy for a month because she was ‘too scared’. Nadia says that she won’t forgive her kids for the amount of sleep they stole from her whilst Jane admits that motherhood can be overwhelming and she’ll never forget feeling totally clueless as she gave her daughter a bath for the first time.

Nothing wrong with getting help if you can. Each woman's experience is different.

I think if you’re privileged and able to afford it, it’s fine so long as you take over at some point in the developmental process, so the baby has the right idea of who mommy is and who mommy is supposed to be. In other words, the baby doesn’t get the idea that nanny is the mommy.

The first baby I ever held and cared for was my own son, born when I was 22. Luckily I was born with some common sense, read a few ‘baby books’ and enjoyed learning with my new born. Three babies down the line - it was a cinch!

Totally ridiculous, why have a baby in the first place if you’re not willing to do everything for them?!
