In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Ironclad. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity...

The card rewards from the collector were bonkers.
He said he would take searing blow if there were 5 fires rather than 4. Basically he would never take searing blow then.
He meant at that specific time. He has gladly taken searing blow with only 4 campfires before when it was offered very early. His deck already had good options at that point so he didn't have to play a searing blow line.
That's the first time I recall seeing taking Pandora's box making a run HARDER. That was a mistake, but you pulled it back by the end.
One time I lost a Silent run due to Pandora's box. I had taken the event that upgraded all my strikes and defends but thought the box was still worthwhile as I had all of my starter cards remaining. (Nope.)
It removed almost all my block cards, and with copies of footwork and many other set up powers which now had no or minimal payoff, the hall combats slowly but surely wore me down before I could fix the deck.
Still an interesting learning experience and I've never lost in the same way again. Very happy Baalalord pulled :D
Pandoras box certainly makes it harder sometimes.

you are 100% correct. Baalor does not manage these channels at all, he hires someone to do it for him, and those people manage MANY channels. AI title generation has been the defacto way to manage this stuff for years now. Lazy? yes. Profitable? also yes.
@@thomasneal9291 It would take anyone who actually watched the video like 5 seconds to think of some funny and fitting title for what happens in the video. Using AI isnt even lazy anymore, its just dumb

Yes but technically he did mirror a vigilance and an eruption I think from events so cards were added but they were cards that came in the starting deck

6:47 in my imo the card is trash. 3 block is nothing. Make it a 2 cost power and make it rare and make it say 10 block. Pretty dramatic change i know but it’s just trash as is. Make it hard to get but make it worth playing. 10 guaranteed block every turn is good not amazing and 2 cost is a perfect offset.

He's devoting the next year to trying for the biggest win streaks he can with each character, starting with ironclad.

I mean by virtue of how the game works, everything does in fact die
the minimum effort is letting the ai write your titles, which the company that baalor uses to manage these channels has done for years now. These people manage MANY streamer channels, and this is how they maximize profit. Surely you can grasp how expensive it would be to hire a professional editor just to come up with good names and titles for your endless content? Not that they couldn't afford it, mind, but the extra cash does tend to make streaming more profitable for people who do it for a living. Obviously, it's "good enough" for the watchers as well, or they wouldn't do it.

Watching baalors channel really is a pendulum between wanting to keep watching cause he is skilled and can explain his plays in a really interesting way and wanting to never click a video again to not support this modern youtube garbage trend
