- In this video we explain the 5 Steps to Activate your Massachusetts P-EBT card:
Step 1) Call the EBT Hotline at 1(800)-997-2555
Step 2) Enter your 16-digit P-EBT card number
Step 3) Enter the last 4-digits of your Case number (you can find this on the letter sent by the DTA or online at dtaconnect.com/PEBT. NOTE: The phone line will no longer ask for last four digits of your Social Security number when activating your P-EBT card.
Step 4) Enter your child's 8-digit date of birth (ex: August 6, 2005 = 08062005)
Step 5) Enter 4-digits to create your PIN (this is the 4-digit PIN you will enter at the store when using your P-EBT card)

FOR CALIFORNIA ONCE U GET TO THE AMOUNT ON UR CARD RESS 4 THEN 6 DIGIT DOB OF PERSON ON CARD, ZIP CODE THEN CHOOSE PIN. I HAD TO CALL SINCE OPTION 4 IS NOT TOLD. FYI

the case number lookup site isnt working, the space you enter your card number into already has one in it, but doesn't allow you to delete it. when you try to type your own in, it doesn't allow you and the number already in it doesn't go awey

The website has numbers already type in. I tried deleting them but that didn’t work. I also thought about typing and maybe they would go away but no. I also went on my laptop thinking it was a mobile issue maybe but still nothing worked.

@alex font Hi! We're sorry, this video was specifically made for Massachusetts residents as every state has slightly different rules on P-EBT. Please check with your state for how to get your P-EBT there.
When I try to put my 16 digits from my card to get my case numbers, there’s a number there that it doesn’t let me delete any help

Hi I just got my pebt card yesterday. I was wondering if it's just a one time payment or will I receive money every month?
You will get a payment for each month that your child is in remote or hybrid learning. You get the payment in the month following, so for the month of April you would get a payment in May, and so on.
There is also Summer P-EBT coming this summer, so keep your card to get payments! You can check your balance online at dtaconnect.eohhs.mass.gov/PEBT (click “How Close Am I?” at the top to access) OR call the number on the back of your card.
Additionally, funds roll over month to month, and do not expire monthly.

Never received the separate case letters the 3X I asked for a new card (which is weird), nor does the website work been trying for 2yrs. You call the numbers on the back of the card and they tell you to use the website🧐!! How when it keeps saying "aww snap, something went wrong while displaying this page"!!! There should be other resources if your passing out cards without a fall back number/website to contact if the one doesn't work! Why have a number on the card that doesn't give you the information needed when needed! That's pointless! Almost 2 years with a card that's probably loaded and I can't even access ?! So what's the purpose of having a card with money on it if there isn't someone (à person) that can fix this 😡
Hello again! I am sorry this is so frustrating. I'd recommend that you call the DTA Assistance line at (877) 382-2363 and press "7" with any questions and they will help you. Be sure to press 7 to get someone to help you with P-EBT.
Or, to get your case number, you do not need the letter. Go to: dtaconnect.eohhs.mass.gov/PEBT. If you are on your phone, click "How Close am I?" button at the top and then hit "P-EBT Case And Account Balance Information." From there you can enter in your PEBT card number to get your case number, and activate your card from there. If this does not work please let us know.

I don’t know how to get my pin
Enter the Case Number listed on the letter that came with your P-EBT card from the DTA when instructed on the phone line, and then the phone line will instruct you to put in a PIN number that you create (one you can remember). The pin number is not provided and is for you to create as a password while activating your card. call the DTA Assistance line at (877) 382-2363 with any other questions. Hope this helps!

Hi! If you live in MA, Summer P-EBT payments were on July 1 and August 1 for K-12 students.
The app doesn't work for me when I was trying to put in my number of ebt to get my case number

How do I know how much money I have?
Check your balance online at dtaconnect.eohhs.mass.gov/PEBT (click “How Close Am I?” at the top to access to get to a page called "P-EBT Case and Account Balance Information." Enter your P-EBT Card Number there to get your balance. You can also call the number on the back of your card.

How to check my balance?
If you live in MA, go to: dtaconnect.eohhs.mass.gov/PEBT and click "How Close Am I?" at the top of the screen. Then select "P-EBT Case and Account Balance Information" from the drop down. From there, you can fill out a form to check your balance. OR, you can call the number on the back of your card to check your balance.
I'm in Ny, I can't activate my daughter's card , I forgot which number I called a couple of weeks ago and that asked me for my daughter's d.o.b and I gave it to them, and they said that they have it wrong in there system but they can't do anything, to call this number and I called but it was just a machine, would u know any number that can help me ?.
Hi Manuel - I'm so sorry to hear this. Have you tried this number - 1-833-452-0096? Unfortunately we only can help in Massachusetts but this seems like the number to call in NY based on their website.
