The first time watching this I just watched Lexi the entire time. She tumbled the entire length of the stage so many times. She's so incredible and talented. I'm glad she's back on Navarro now.

I think it's kind of cool that they are - I like wide shots of cheer teams. I wonder if Navarro had a say or not. I don't know about cheer, but dance competitions will get authorization from dancers or remove videos that dancers request to be removed.

After seeing how varsity refused a camera crew kind of made me hate the brand. Pretty soon they'll be like seed companies and say you have to wear varsity brand or you csnt compete.
It's not right that varsity has such a monopoly and ESPN cant televise the competion any longer. When companies monopolize a sport like that it hurts the whole sport

@@urmom-hd5dl because there was an injury and that person had to get out and they got to redo the performance (which is this video) and they got a substitute to fill in for him. So they didn’t have two people to lift jade because the substitute was only filling in for the tumbling part. You can see the substitute waiting to go in at 0:48

Jenna/Peter I think Jerry didn't do the stunt at the start cause the guy (Austin) that was supposed to do it with them injured his ankle in the first performance. In the Cheer episode Monica said everything up to that point where the injury occurred counted towards their score. Therefore I assumed they didn't get Alex (the one that replaced Austin) to do those initial stunts with Jerry as too much to learn in those 30 minutes and wanted him to concentrate more on the performance where it would be graded.
Alex is the real MVP! I wish he got more attention during series because the fact that he went out with only 30min to practice with the team and absolutely KILLED IT is incredible!
Varsity, you should have let the Netflix film producers do a pro shoot here. What you need to understand is Cheer has exposed this almost underground sport to ALL THE WORLD. It was so sad to just have iPhone footage used on the finals of the comp that showed the amazing Navarro College team. Maybe next time please think of the BIGGER PICTURE and stop being in a bubble of control. I just hope you have learned a lesson that this Netflix show has taken USA Cheerleading to a whole new level of attention. And your small thinking on this was sadly a huge letdown in the show.
it’s deeper than that,sometimes it’s a legal thing because maybe they’d need all of the teams to sign a waiver allowing them to be filmed incase they get in the background. plus having an entire film crew around can be very distracting

I'm a former collegiate student athlete (football/track), USMC OIF Vet x3, now LEO in CA...and I was motivated into tears while watching this documentary. Much respect to this sport and its athletes! This should be an Olympic sport. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation!
Still my favorite routine of theirs. The last pyramid sequence is so impressive. Better than their 2021 in my opinion. More creative and interesting. The 2021 stunts looked similar to 2015 actually, but this was next level. Also the music is great

I hope a third party competition host comes through and completely demolishes your business till the only thing left is your sub par athletic apparel division.
Start reinvesting your profits into making your company, well... a better company. Stop making gyms wait months for uniforms they spend thousands on. Reinvest your profits to secure your scoring cloud servers so athletes don’t have to wait till the next day to get their results. Reinvest your profits to make a better streaming platform that people will want to spend money on and not have it crash every 30 minutes. And start putting more effort into being transparent with your customers.

Dear, Varsity: This one-camera-angle view is BORRINGGG!! Perhaps consider other camera crews in for alternative angles. The quality has really gone down over the years!! Aside from that: Navarro, you rocked this routine! Coming back from a serious injury and getting back into a competition frame of mind takes the mental toughness that Monica trained you for. Bravo!!!
I actually like it because we see the big picture. Watching from an angle kind of takes away from the symmetry of the stunts and the pyramids. Especially if they are doing a diagonal formation, filmed at an angle, it just looks unorganized.

The routine videos were from team members iPhones ect. Didnt you read the disclosure across the screen that said varsity refused them to video and the competion videos were from individual phones?
its ridiculous they charge people to watch when they already paid God knows how much in fees etc to even do the competition. Plus I preferred when they used to televise them on ESPN.
I'm a HS band director and I have a new appreciation for this sport. Just saw the Netflix Documentary and got so invested my wife thought I was wierd for being emotionally invested in this and relating to Monica on the Stresses in order to be successful and all the sleepless nights of thinking about plan B, C's, D's lol So crazy! Good show👍I'm still pissed at Varsity for refusing the cam crew to shoot footage, so glad they found a way though!

I'm re-watching this in Dec 2020 and I still can't believe that we all, or most of us looked up to Jerry so much, and we were saying stuff like "In a world where you can be anything, be a Jerry", I mean I know everyone makes mistakes, ones bigger than others but I'm still so shocked, I wonder if he felt bad at some point when everyone was giving him that good attention and recognition.
Varsity is such a joke...they really denied access for the camera crew for the show. They don’t care about the cheerleaders they just care about their $$

From what you see on the show before the one guy got injured and from having only thirty minutes to find a replacement is amazing that they still pulled it off. At least they judge from the point where they had left off bc of the injury with the perfect beginning and in the second time around ended it perfectly. And still won!
Anyone else notice that in the stunt that they were struggling on in warm ups and that one practice jerry had to do instead of la’darios well anyways durning that stunt the stunt group farthest to the right just stander there an the flier just faked the motions while on the ground like what you would do if you were just running threw the routine.
Glad I finally get a good view of entire performance, wish the Netflix crew would have been allowed in.....maybe you will rethink your decision if there is a season two.

I absolutely love Navarro and their family mentality and I think they are all so talented but i would be lying if I said they were the best college team out there. They are definitely the best community college team but I mean Kentucky, Alabama, and Louisville are on a whole different level of cheer and it is so wild! I would love to see a documentary on one of these schools too! Please I do not mean hate bc as I said I love Navarro, they deserved this win so much, and I loved the Netflix show even though I wish they allowed each member of the team to have the spotlight and not just a select few be the face of the team bc all members work just as hard! I hope to see another season of cheer!

Good luck! After watching Cheer, I wish I would've done cheerleading when I was younger. I wish I wouldn't have believed all the stereotypes that movies and TV make about cheerleaders. I grew up in the Amarillo area. Now I wish I could have done Cheer Texas too but I don't live there anymore and I'm too old at 25 to do any cheerleading or tumbling. My body isn't that flexible anymore. :/

I actually like it because we see the big picture. Watching from an angle kind of takes away from the symmetry of the stunts and the pyramids. Especially if they are doing a diagonal formation, filmed at an angle, it just looks unorganized.

Krystal L yes, this is from the camera that’s used for the live streaming, you can pay for a membership monthly to watch any competition that varsity is at.
The routine videos were from team members iPhones ect. Didnt you read the disclosure across the screen that said varsity refused them to video and the competion videos were from individual phones?

its ridiculous they charge people to watch when they already paid God knows how much in fees etc to even do the competition. Plus I preferred when they used to televise them on ESPN.

I'm a HS band director and I have a new appreciation for this sport. Just saw the Netflix Documentary and got so invested my wife thought I was wierd for being emotionally invested in this and relating to Monica on the Stresses in order to be successful and all the sleepless nights of thinking about plan B, C's, D's lol So crazy! Good show👍I'm still pissed at Varsity for refusing the cam crew to shoot footage, so glad they found a way though!

I'm re-watching this in Dec 2020 and I still can't believe that we all, or most of us looked up to Jerry so much, and we were saying stuff like "In a world where you can be anything, be a Jerry", I mean I know everyone makes mistakes, ones bigger than others but I'm still so shocked, I wonder if he felt bad at some point when everyone was giving him that good attention and recognition.
Varsity is such a joke...they really denied access for the camera crew for the show. They don’t care about the cheerleaders they just care about their $$

From what you see on the show before the one guy got injured and from having only thirty minutes to find a replacement is amazing that they still pulled it off. At least they judge from the point where they had left off bc of the injury with the perfect beginning and in the second time around ended it perfectly. And still won!

Anyone else notice that in the stunt that they were struggling on in warm ups and that one practice jerry had to do instead of la’darios well anyways durning that stunt the stunt group farthest to the right just stander there an the flier just faked the motions while on the ground like what you would do if you were just running threw the routine.
And they did that shit with pretty much all their subs, & still fucking killed it. Unbelievable

I absolutely love Navarro and their family mentality and I think they are all so talented but i would be lying if I said they were the best college team out there. They are definitely the best community college team but I mean Kentucky, Alabama, and Louisville are on a whole different level of cheer and it is so wild! I would love to see a documentary on one of these schools too! Please I do not mean hate bc as I said I love Navarro, they deserved this win so much, and I loved the Netflix show even though I wish they allowed each member of the team to have the spotlight and not just a select few be the face of the team bc all members work just as hard! I hope to see another season of cheer!

Good luck! After watching Cheer, I wish I would've done cheerleading when I was younger. I wish I wouldn't have believed all the stereotypes that movies and TV make about cheerleaders. I grew up in the Amarillo area. Now I wish I could have done Cheer Texas too but I don't live there anymore and I'm too old at 25 to do any cheerleading or tumbling. My body isn't that flexible anymore. :/
