Your hikes always remind me of adventures from Tolkein. Hiking to the Misty Mountains through Redhorn Pass and conquering the mighty Caradhras, the highest peak. “It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.” So cool!!
Btw: Totally agree about hydropower. It's incredibly ugly, interferes with nature, and wildlife, and is not 'green' at all. Fantastic adventure, Jarl. Looking forward to many more. :) ♥

Well, Jarl, another beautifully yet challenging series which has awarded you with stunning views, crystal clear waters, magnificent Glaciers, tranquil valleys and to top it all up, Aurora Borealis for an amazing ending to your trip.
I’ve bee meaning to ask if there are any GPX files of your Scandinavian series available?
Also, all the filming was done with your GoPro Hero 9?

Complete peace and views that take your breath away. To be so separated from humanity and the craziness of this world is just beyond my imagining. @@NorwegianXplorer thank you for the answer, that is good to know. I do have two other quick questions for you. Number one, when you go out on your backpacking trips for days on end, do you tell anyone where you’re going or do you register with anyone like the trekking association? And secondly, do you have some sort of a GPS device or do you use maps mostly or do you rely on your innate sense of direction? Or possibly all three? Thank you.

Your summer-hiking was a success. We could feel how it made you happy discovering every day new sceneries, experiencing new adventures. The more wild and rough, the more beautiful is Norway. You transmit us your love for your country. In this Breheimen-episode we saw again wonderful blue lakes, eternal snow and glaciers (min. 32, 38, 42... and many others). To reach a camping place you had to cross very difficult steep parts of the trail, boulders, rocks.... How do you manage then to keep filming ? And always heavy backpacked ! Many thanks for all your gorgeous videos, Jarl. I always enjoyed them. And.....could you yet mention us what are your projects for this summer 2022 ? Good luck, dear friend. Stay healthy.
