Kastoria is described as Kastoria in 500AD aka in late antiquity. You slavs came to the area after 600-700AD aka the city of kastoria pre existed your arrival. Kastoria was a byzantine greek city built before you slavs arrived in the area... This is described by ancient writer procopius The city is first mentioned in 550 AD, by Procopius as follows: "There was a certain city in Thessaly, Diocletianopolis by name, which had been prosperous in ancient times, but with the passage of time and the assaults of the barbarians it had been destroyed, and for a very long time it had been destitute of inhabitants; and a certain lake chances to be close by which was named Castoria. There is an island in the middle of the lake, for the most part surrounded by water; but there remains a single narrow approach to this island through the lake, not more than fifteen feet wide. And a very lofty mountain stands above the island, one half being covered by the lake while the remainder rests upon it."

@Corsa15DT greeks were continuously fighting each other in antiquity. The kingdom of sparta was fighting athens etc does this mean in your distorted mind that spartans were not greeks? There is a thing called civil war in military history. French too had civil wars with each other like the dauphin the french king with the burgundy duchy does that means they were not french? But tell us why alexander (alex=defend in greek, ander=men in greek) the great had a greek name since he was not a greek as you claim

@Corsa15DT secondly the ethnogenesis of the greek nation as it is claimed by glossologists took place in axios and aliakmonas river in modern day greek macedonia in 3000 BC BEFORE CHRIST. That area was the proto greece. The first greece. The ethnogenesis of slavs like you who speak a slavic language that falsely call macedonian took place in the steppes around ukraine and you arrived in the area of paionia that you now call republic of north macedonia in 600/700 ad AFTER CHRIST AKA 4000 YEARS AKA 4 MILLENIUMS AFTER AND 1000 YEARS AFTER ALEXANDER THE GREAT . @Corsa15DT the so called makedonski language that is spoken in ex yugoslavic republic of modern day north macedonia is a SLAVIC LANGUAGE македонски јазик, translit. makedonski is an Eastern South Slavic language. It is part of the Indo-European language family, and is one of the Slavic languages, which are part of a larger Balto-Slavic branch. Spoken as a first language by around 1.6 million people, it serves as the official language of THE REPUBLIC OF North Macedonia.

THE AREA YOU CLAIM IS GREEK FROM 2300 BC AS IT IS THE AREA OF PROTO GREEK AS ALL GLOSSOLOGISTS ACCEPT SUCH AS A.I. Katona as well as M.V Sakellariou agree that the main body of Greek speakers settled in a region that included southwestern Illyria, Epirus, northwestern Thessaly and western Macedonia in 2300bc
Older theories like those of Vladimir I. Georgiev placed Proto-Greek in northwestern Greece and adjacent areas (approximately up to the Aulon river to the north), including Parauaea, Tymphaia, Athamania, Dolopia, Amphilochia, and Acarnania, as well as west and north Thessaly (Histiaeotis, Perrhaibia, Tripolis), and Pieria in Macedonia, during the Late Neolithic. The boundaries are based on the high concentration of archaic Greek place-names in the region

@Corsa15DT instead of you explaining as you want what ancient macedonians were, let s hear it from alexander the great what ethnicity did he felt he was. Alexander the great when he was won the persians in the granicus battle, sent to the sanctuary of gods in greece 300 Persian armors, with the message "Alexander, son of Philip, and all the Greeks except the Spartans, give these offerings taken from the foreigners who live in Asia". Why alexander the great wrote alexander and the greeks and not alexander and the macedonians since he wasnt greek? This shows that alexander felt macedonians were a tribe of greeks and he himself a greek. As I am I am a greek from macedonia. Greece has thessaly, macedonia , attica, crete, peloponnesse, ionian , epirus etc departements of greece., If someone is cretan that doesnt mean he is not a greek, if someone is from thessaly that doesnt mean he is not greek, if someone is from macedonia the real macedonia in greece that doesnt mean he is not greek! (as the area where the republic of north macedonia lies was not the area of ancient macedonia but it was called paionia in antiquity thus if you want to claim some ancient origin you can claim paionian althought they did not spoke slavic either!!)

ellines is the term that ancient greeks used for themselves. In the western europe and the english language the ellines are called greeks. Just like the germans are called germans in english and not deutsch as they are called in germany in german. What are you doing? Are you playing with words to support your unhistorical claims? Greeks and ellines is the names of the greeks. Turks call greeks as yunan . What does it mean that greeks are not greeks because they are called yunan by the turks? Greeks always lived in the country now called greece for 5 milleniums now. This is attested by ancient writers and modern historians. I dont know what kind of fake lies you are taught in skopje but your fake lies is not the historical truth. Greeks always lived in greece from 3000 BC and macedonians were a greek tribe just like the spartans were. You the slavs living in the area that was ancient paionia and not ancient macedonia, you came in the region in the middle ages and you are not descedants of ancient macedonias who were a greek tribe! Kastoria is a greek word meaning city of castles because kastoria was a byzantine capital during the byzantine empire of epirus. Kostur is your bulgarian pronunciation of the word kastoria./ Greeks are macedonians the word itself macedonia is a greek word meaning long land in greek. ... Your ancestor was propably bulgarian living in macedonia aka northern greece... Tito named you macedonians while you are bulgarians

@@bubakostadinova9285 Kastoria is described as Kastoria in 500AD aka in late antiquity.
