You'll be looking for a rear fender as soon as you see what the back of your jacket looks like when you are done riding. Or maybe you'll feel the dirt hit you in the back of your head!! It can get painful at times.
Pretty sure I didn't change them. But its been a long time man. The throttle cable is easy tho so if you need to change it no big deal. Clutch cable is a pain tho.
Guess I got shorter legs, haha, peg extensions would work, but I've always felt they looked a bit off. How about a Honda VT750? My buddy has one and its noticeable larger for only being 150cc more.
luv ur bike !! im looking to pick up the same handlebars from licks cycles are they 1'' or 7/8 z bars can u tell me the width tip to tip ??also how wasthe install pain in the ass?thks
Thanks for the response I sat on one and it felt good but my legs were cramped. I am 6ft but I know guys taller who ride 600. I was told peg extensions should help. Any thoughts
Thanks, the acceleration isn't stellar, but its got enough punch to get you around some traffic. I'm 185lbs and I'm able to hit 75-80mph pretty easy once I get on the freeway.
@atompkins99 Hit up TJBC - TJ Brutal Customs in Huntington Beach, he does awesome custom shadow bobbers and has parts and such for them. He's on instagram alot so you can see his work there.
Hey bud, I'm looking at one of these, from 1992. Its original with only 2 owners, what is the acceleration like? I know it only does say 110mph so I hope it has some grunt. Great bike, really really like it. Cheers, Alex
Thanks! I thought it was incredibly well made. easy to install and had no problems with it. I mean it was a bit pricey but if you factored in how much it would've cost to get someone to custom fab a hard tail for you, its a drop in the bucket.
I noticed the cover plate under your seat. Looked at blue collar bobbers, didnt see anything of the sort. Just woundering if you had to make it, or maybe where you got it?
10 inch bars, did you have to get extended cable for them? Thanks.
Josh B yeah you have too The stock one won’t reach
i want a shadow... :( in germany the price is around 2500$ (1800€) for a 600 shadow in mid-condition.. really bad
:-( so bad
Цвет сиденья НЕ гармонирует с общим видом., глушаки очень длинные.. что тоже не гармонируют..
Bang out some aluminum diamond plate for side covers.
Great bike! That's just about what i had in mind. Where did you get the bars again?
How tall are your bars ? And did you have to change any cables or all stock ones ? Thx
That is a sweet looking bike. Well done.

+Painter D haha I've been stuck in the rain sans both fenders. I had a bald stripe down my back and my face!
Surprised you had no issues without a rejet. Inspiring!
the bike is dirty and you care
Pimp VLX
Hey brother nice shadow. Did u change both cable? Clutch and throttle? If so can u send the link? Thanks in advance
Pretty sure I didn't change them. But its been a long time man. The throttle cable is easy tho so if you need to change it no big deal. Clutch cable is a pain tho.
That's fuckin' sick dude.. Recently picked up a 94 600 vlx, and I'm gettin bit by the fuckin custom bug hard.

Yea who wants a wide back tire
u can hide the electrical components in a fake oil tank, since u removed the side panels...just a suggestion
@jwill1782, I'm 5'11 and I fit it just fine, I don't think you should have a problem, but you'll probably want to try it out before buying.
@treyware1234 I actually have a rim exactly like the one in the video if you're interested. Just send me a private message.

@bamf1994, I got the rim off a newer model Shadow 750 (2011 if I recall) then had Buchanan's in Azusa, CA lace it to my stock hub.
@pin75us1 nah I just drilled out the baffles on the stock pipes, got another video if u look at my vids. Thanks!
@driftfreak963 yeah only the throttle cable though. I got one that was +3, but not sure since it was so long ago.
Nice bike I was wondering whats your height! I am looking at getting one of this am I am 6ft would I be to tall?
@metalhead3468 Yeah, its rigid, removed the shock underneath the seat. Lowered it a shit load too.
Is that exhaust off of a spirit 750? If so did you have to modify it to fit. By the way sick bike bro!
what year is this bike? just curious what all year vlx600 share the same tank. I cant find it.
This bike is beautiful, just the handlebar I do not like, it would have been a little shorter ... !!
@pin75us1 Nope, thats a stock exhaust with just the baffles drilled out. Thanks!
Im in westminster...going to go look at an 83 750 tomorrow. Awesome bike, i should hit you up for pointers lol
would you be able to describe how you removed the rear shock? did you just put a piece of steel to replace it?
Did you have to lengthen the control cables at all when you switched over to the 10" zbars?
@TheRockstar236 Thanks! How is yours coming along? Your bike is in my favorites!
0:46 this filter is homemade?? or where can buy one those??
(Sorry i do not speak english)
@splmagician2 this was a 2003. I don't know which tanks are shared tho.
Did you do something for Sound optimasation? Exhaust sounds nice.
@driftfreak963 I only extended the throttle cable to be safe.
sweet scoot bro! i would love 2 do this 2 my shadow... where di u find the rear rim?
@uniblob thanks man, I miss it and shouldn't have sold it lol
What type of seat do you have and where did you get the black metal bracket that holds your seat and turn signals to the frame?
Thanks man. I had it laced at buchanans in asuza
What did you do with the oil breather line coming off the rear cylinder?
Next to my, Gold ass chain!!!!!! lol

i tried to get the same handelbars but licks cycles only has 1'' not 7/8.what size seat is that 13'' wide??
rob black shadow vlx runs 1 inch bars
This exactly what i want to do man. Nice bike!
What did you think of the blue collar seat kit? Nice bike man.
Thanks! I thought it was incredibly well made. easy to install and had no problems with it. I mean it was a bit pricey but if you factored in how much it would've cost to get someone to custom fab a hard tail for you, its a drop in the bucket.

Josh B The plate was in the blue collar bobbers kit. They may have revised the kit and removed it.
Is this the original exhaust?
She's a beaut!
Where did you get the air filter screen? I really don't want to rejet my duel carbs either
***** My pops had it laying around but he said he got it from a hardware store.
nice bike!!!!
bad ass
Does this bike have one or two carbs ?? what yr model ???
Roy Buckner one
