I love the atmosphere that a setup like this creates - thank you so much for the video, Tanner! (Btw, I always called them rollie pollies. Don't remember where I got the name, but it's kinda fun!)

I’ve now learned that even with regular feeding isopods will still happily eat begonias I’m not complaining though because they are some pretty cool lil guys.
Tanner, thank you so much. You are one of the people who not only inspired my passion for nature, but helped make it possible and affordable. I love these low-cost set ups. Will be a lifelong fan! Fantastic.

Hey Tanner first of all I want to thank you for your calm and relaxing videos. I love your style and think that your scapes are really some special art. I am very excited for your upcoming projects and I am wondering if you ever considered doing something saltwater Aquaristic related. I would love to see you scaping with corals and building reefs. What a coincidence, I'm currently editing my video on my isopod terrarium build. Will be live in like a half hour. Ofcourse mine looks terrible compared to yours 😂 Looks amazing!
Your isopod series is my favorite. I cannot wait to see more of your poly bugs out on display. I actually named my dog Bug because when he was a little puppy he curled up like a potato bug in a toboggan I owned. Thank you for the wonderful video, Mr. Serpa. I'll keep coming back for this one especially, and your video on care and your newest with the rubber duckies. 🦐
Nice! A question: for the moss on the background would it make sense to blend, I mean literary with a blender, some moss, pure yogurt, and some soil/manure and "paint" it over the places you want it to grow?
I wouldn’t use the yogurt, seems like it’d just make mold and not smell great in a tiny enclosured environment lol. I know that it works perfectly to grind up aquatic moss and some soil to dry start it in a tank. I’m sure that it would work for some terrestrial moss too, but it’d probably have to be a very humid environment for the first little while.
Armadillidiums and other conglobating (curling into ball) species I call roly poly. Not so much for Porcellio and others that don’t conglobate. Woodlice or slater fits better. Maybe sowbug.
All of your videos have inspired me to start doing terrariums as my hobby. I have finally set one up using everything in your how to video and even going outside to scrounge around for springtails to make a colony from.
You captured that specific forest mood well. It will look even more amazing when the moss has grown in. I almost expect to see glowing mushrooms in there. Beautiful. Lucky isopods!
