Great video! I used the 14" SE for years. Loved the sound, insanely bright. Did not really like the feel of them so ended up using them as my X-hat in open position for doublebass stuff, worked great. I also tried the 14" heavy and 14" medium as my main hihat but never really fell in love with them. Yesterday I recieved the 15" SE and I'm lost for words... they sound and feel incredible, finally satisfied 🤘Rock on! Cheers from Sweden

This is great, man! Best comparison I could find. I was set on the 15" Formula 602 Modern Essentials Hats initially, but they're so damn expensive, so I started to check out Paiste's other offerings. TBH I think i actually like the classic 2002's better than the modern essentials. EDIT: I do like the 15"s better.

@@timmyg4295 Thanks to you I just ordered a pair from Amazon! I first discovered these 2002 Sound Edge back in the mid eighties. They were extremely pricey at that time ( I used Zild New Beats instead). I can’t wait for my new 15” 2002 Sound Edge to arrive this week. Thanks Again😢👍
I think these 15” hi hats are more versatile because they cut through any mix. So the 15” is the perfect size. It’s not too big, and not too small. So the 15” inch diameter is the perfect size, right in between a smaller pair of hi hats and a larger pair of hi hats.
If you had to pick one, which would you choose? I’ve never owned Paiste (lifelong Zildjian) but am seriously considering the 15s for mostly rock and blues gigging
ive had the 2002 15 in my cart for a while now. just scared to pull the trigger. paying that much for just a hihat is a huge step. especially when you dont have that much money very often..

14s on my right.

If those 14" hi hats are brand new, why aren't they as shiny as your 15" hats?
The 14" were the shiny ones. Just different camera angle from the first location.
