@@thebram yes, i know. I watched a more complete video of this and a pilot noticed this dude and reported it to tower. Still, nobody came in and stopped him. What's the point of having a cctv if their is no one to monitor it. Clearly, there where lapses in security. After 9-11, i honestly thought that American airports had a more pro-active security. Guess i was wrong.
I feel so sad for him. Once i missed my flight too,, but i booked the next flight instead and enjoyed roaming around the airport while making new friends

If you read the statement from his father, the guy has a mental disorder. The incident triggered something called manic phase in him. If not spotted immediately, someone can really do something, let say, outrageous. The patient cannot control the urge of doing something spontaneous.

This is heart breaking.😢 I once worked in United Airlines, And this is why its important that you have to be at the Airport 3hrs prior to flight if it's International and 2hrs if it's local/domestic. RIP ❤

manic phase , how about car travel isnt that an option few hours delay they should have talked to him its not an emergency old man is still in hospital waiting for you.
All airlines fly on time except for IROPS ( irregular operations) such as weather conditions like snow storms, typhoon ect and if there's mechanical issues. :)

The guy was probably mental (his father mentioned manic phase) and his grandfather’s situation up to his ordeal in the airport made him snap. In a state of mania, a person’s mental faculties are not functioning very well leading to him being shredded to smithereens.
Airport security could have prevented this. This was the airport’s fault.
I'm saddened by this event. Why there's no securities present? It should've prevented the tragic incident.😢

Malaking tanong bakit maluwag ang sigurodad sa airport bakit wlang pumigil?? Bakit wlang radio para sa pilot?? Wlang monitor how sad
korek. ganito sa USA, sobra higpit nila sa ibang bagay pero mi mga neglect din sila.Marami na din tamad, di mo sila maistorbo. In that scenario, yan mga airport staff kapag sinarado na ang gate umaalis na sila sa podium nila. Wala ka ng matanungan, dapat mi information booth man lang na puede tanungan or marshalls na humarang sa kanya.
Usually ang mga security naka monitor lang sa CCTV. Kapag may breach or suspicious silang nakita, tsaka lang sila lalabas at icheck yung area. Mukhang gabi na rin to at siguro mga last flights na to kaya konti na lang ang mga tao. Nagkaroon na ng negligence sa part ng mga nagmomonitor ng CCTV noong time na yun.

If this is a terrorist, it could have ended tragically for a lot of people. Needless to say there are security lapses and protocols for this type of incidents. Poor guy, RIP.

Giniling ang labas mo nyan… kawawa naman… mga employee na nagta trabaho around the aircraft may mandatory training mga yan… basic reminder at least 25 feet ang layo mo sa umaandar na engine para di ka mahigop sa likod naman mas malayo or di ka pwede dumaan para sa jet blast kaya nga kung makikita mo sa boarding area sa bintana may mga guhit yan sa ground around the aircraft kung saan sa labas ka lang pwede tawag dyan envelope or safety zone
