Journeys 5 really surprised me. Many times when artists are attempting to make a comeback after years of absence it doesn't work out so well, often they just aren't able to pull up what they were able in the past. But Abe really surprised me with his new journeys, the content is wonderful and is a honor for the journeys series. Not just it isn't less, it actually outperforms the journeys of the past one could say (you could respectfully argue with that . . . ). Thanks Abe. 🙏
My husband would have loved this song, he passed away in 2020 from lung cancer due to Agent Orange exposure while serving in Vietnam, this verse" there is a pass through the sea that will lead me to clear sailing ahead" I connected to that, for I am trying to find my path to him! I play your song every day early in the morning when I walk,, it is such things as your song that made me get through the day! Thank you!
It's an allegory to all life - life is a journey at sea. There are times of smooth sailing we all enjoy, and God protect us, there are rough seas we all must traverse. We are best to maintain our faith and maintain course and we will, God willing, see the sunshine again.
