    that moment at the end was straight out of a movie, so poetic !
    Ps: for my periods what helps A LOT are: watching out my Vitamin D and magnesium levels (and taking more if needed), raspberry bush herbal tea everyday beginning around 4 days before my periods begins and during all my periods, acupuncture session before my period, cutting out the sugar if possible (cause it brings inflammation) and the last thing I found is flotation in sensory isolation (we have this in Paris but I don't know if you can find this in korea).
    I have an shit** illness that get triggered by my periods and it can be HORRIBLE (basically I am literally allergic to my periods) and I found these tips along the years to help me. Now, I only take paracetamol if I need it but I am not unable to live my life anymore. Hope you'll find the things that work for you :)

    I truly recommend red rose petals tea with a little bit of honey for the menstrual pain, i swear it works and it's definitely tasty 😸🍃
    Just boil the petals of the roses for almost 20 minutes and then Let it stand until it cools down (Just so you don't burn yourself when you drink it.) When you drink the tea, add the honey, and there we have!
    I recommend drink it warm because warm drinks help to improve the pain🥺
    I hope that you find it useful 💚✨

    My dear Sissel, I can’t tell how much joy and light u bring in your videos!
    I just wanna encourage you to look for a good gynecologist. There are some conditions which are difficult to identify through conventional check-up tests.
    A more specific type of ultrasound imaging, for example (that a good gynecologist would recommend) can help finding out the origin of your pain, if there’s anything to be found ❤️
    Hope you feel better soon!

    • @sisselab
      @sisselab  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah I’ve actually had a couple of ultrasounds, but nothing... so I need a blood test to see deficiencies and such 💚

    Those are little red dates. They’re also good with goji berries. They go well with goji berries abs works better when they’re split in half. The concoction is quite sweet for being an herbal drink

    Hi Sissel. I live in China and they have the fruit that you made tea from here. They're called red dates. They have a lot of benefits from what I'm told. Next time you make the tea add some dried goji berries to it.

    Hi Sissel, one way to reduce menstrual cramps is to avoid having sugar and dairy a week before you get your period and during, because it actually stimulates the uterine contractions! Taking a borage oil supplement for a week before also really helps. I notice a huge difference when I do, compared to when I don't.

    I also have super super bad period pains as well and what has helped alleviate the pain a little is a week before my expected period I take Magnesium until my period starts and it helps. I mean my period pains are so bad that I can't function without a pain killer, but I limit myself to having only one a day for the first two days, otherwise I'm not a fan of taking pain killers even for headaches/migraines so I get you! But the magnesium has helped. I found that I took pain killers on the months that I wasn't taking magnesium the week before so to me that means something! Hope this helps. 💚💛💚💛

  • @bunbunusagi

    I used to have really bad period pains and I had a doctor tell me to simply lose weight. I get it, I'm not ashamed that I'm not in the ideal weight range but I felt that was an easy way for her to brush me off and not have to actually help me. It lasted for years & no it was not normal but because of her I just trooped through the pain. To anyone out there dealing with pain like this, don't just accept it, seek another doctors help.

    Just an opinion for the painful period. I used to hv painful moments during periods too. Then I tried to eat less carbo and gluten, and during the period, I ate more soup. After that, the pain was getting less and less. Now almost nothing and I can do my daily thing. My suggestion, try it first or try to change your menu before you go to hospital to avoid unnecessary diagnose and drug prescriptions. 💗

    Such a sweet video :) So sorry you experience period pain...I know the struggle well. The dried fruit is jujubes, or da zao in Chinese, they're used frequently in TCM to build qi and are both "warm" and "sweet" in nature. I would recommend consulting a TCM or traditional Korean medicine doctor for advice as even though they are beneficial for blood building, insomnia and many other things, if they are contraindicated to your own constitution then you can do more harm than good. For example if you have a warm and/or damp constitution, the warming properties of jujubes may exasperate your symptoms. For dysmenorrhea there are so many things to do and working with a naturopath, herbal medicine doctor or any integrative doctor could be really helpful. For me, using seed cycling and evening primrose oil to reduce prostaglandins made a big difference in pain, for others it's the inclusion of vitex (chaste tree) or other herbs, a change in diet or thyroid and hormone support... It will be very dependent on what is causing your pain as even though period pain is common, debilitating pain is not normal, and for each woman the cause may be different. Bit of a rant but this is something I am passionate and I have gone on such a long journey of 20 years of period pain and I wouldn't wish this on any other women. Wish you the best of luck on your journey xxx

    My love, I am affected with endometriosis, my two sisters too. In our case is a genetic issue, gifted by the women of our family. Before getting to know that our period pain was not normal we had to deal with many ignorant doctors. Finally after years we understood how to take care of our bodies, which goes together with healthy habits, as you said, including food, sports, clothes, and products in general. Some things, for example, thar I had to cut off from my life are alcohol, sugars, preservatives. Now I follow a specific diet, not for losing weight neither for gaining it, but for a better balance of my organs. I'm not saying that you might have endometriosis as well, but I just agree to what you said, about the importance of taking care of ourselves. I send you lots of love, be brave my dear ❤️

  • @nata6025
    @nata6025 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm so sorry that you're getting such painful periods. I want to share some TCM (traditional chinese medicine) advice that my mum passed down to me when I started my first cycle: when you know your period is approaching AND during the time that you have your period: avoid eating cold food and drinks, alcohol, bananas and pears - these foods affect the flow of your blood. I've only had cramps when I decided to ignore the advice my mum gave me, in favour of eating an ice cream or a nashi pear on a hot day. Apparently alcohol makes your flow heavier, it's not cramps causing, but it can't be good to be losing more blood.
    Bananas and pears are 'cooling' foods that can restrict the flow of blood and can cause cramps. There might be other foods that i don't know of, but these two are all I know for now. Also, blow dry your hair immediately after washing when you have your period until it's bone dry. I hope these tips will help you prevent cramps

    The underlying issue as you say is most probably endocrinal disruptors... you should look into it! 💜

    I think you added too much ginger. You can slice the ginger, just add 2 or 3 slices and store the rest in the freezer for future use. Have a great day!

    Respect and appreciate sissel's candidness. Hopefully the healthcare providers can provide a correct diagnosis ( to include an ultrasound) and treatment or pain management protocol.
    The mirror play on "body double " was cool.

      I already had ultra sounds done, nothing out of the ordinary. That’s why I was recommended to draw blood 💚

    Oh girl you are so right about pain and healthcare! Endometriosis is extremely painful and traumatizing to your body and can seriously impact your life. I hope whatever you have it is addressed.

    I was wondering if the LED cell liner is scientifically proven to work? It seems nice, I just want to make sure that they're not just saying "studies show" and actually have real scientific proof behind the tool...

    Hi Sissel, you should avoid ANY products with fragrance if possible, and you should see some improvements over the months with cramps, etc. during your period times. Hope this helps! 💜 PS.
