When I was 16 years old we had a car exactly like this.....exactly. We used it on a family trip in 1965 from Minneapolis to Ft. Lauderdale. It held my mom and dad, my 22 year old sister and her 3 year old daughter, my 13 year old sister and Poncho, our pet chihuahua. We left on July 1 and for the fact of not having air conditioning we all had a good time. The care did us well. The trunk was huge. I have very fond memories of this car.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are bored like me atm you can watch all of the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my gf for the last days xD
Wow!! This truly IS an amazing car! This brings back such memories! My first car was a 59 Impala .... 283, 2bb, 2 spd Powerglide. Truly I think the very best car I ever owned. Drives great, fantastic mileage and ran for years!!! What a rare find! Congrats to you and this car's next owner! I wish it was me!! Thnx for this video! Great nostalgia! P.S. And to come with the original Certificate of Origin!!
I like to get into an all original like this, restoration doesn't matter. Go out on a road that hasn't changed since then just before sunrise, and try to go back in time to that year with sheer will power.😊

Great car Jay my uncle had one of these back in the day we would slide down those big fins for fun when I was a kid thanks for the memories, I just love Chevys you would have drive that one around in reverse lol.
i watched this auction online, wish i could have been there, i remember this car in the posts, the auction was in 2013, glad it found love and was restored , thanks for posting
Never have i seen such a beautyfull car i love chevy and mustangs but this car is so stunning awsome wonderfull car 🤟 inside Nice and tidy motor great performance USA car country of the planet and it is from the batcave 🦇 🦇 USA thanks Jay grams for this wonderfull car you Are awsome 🦇 as batman 🦇
It's unique ! How on earth you take it to shows without adding the mileage means trailer only. And you won't go cruising . So Jay! NO ! You can't drive it home !😂😂 The two stand out features are it's virtually 62 years old ! And that was a base model ! Our "base" models didn't even have heaters !! Two tone metallic ? Don't be silly! V8 ! What's a V8? Rubber mats only and automatics were still extremely rare and for the well off ! Fabulous piece of history Jay , Thanks.
This is without doubt an incredible car, but being restored like it was changes it all for me. I would consider it around 50. I see it on ebay 1/16/21 for 63k. Lets see where it goes... Volo Museum has some of the greatest cars ever.
Achingly beautiful. If I owned this vehicle, I would have to commission the Fender Custom Shop to build me a couple of matching Strats, one in each of the two-tone colours.
Mr. Lambrecht must have had plenty of money....Just buying these cars and letting them sit. It's a shame that folks didn't rescue so many of these beautiful chevys before they got ruined over time....
A lot of people really push the original concept. Time is the big destroyer back in the 50s it was not at all uncommon to replace hoses and belts annually. So much for original. Technically speaking everything needs restoration regardless of miles.
2 miles... but it's been entirely restored with new paint, all new chrome, etc. Might as well have had 200k miles. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely beautiful... but it isn't a "survivor" as I'd think of one.
Great car i had the exact car,me and did all the body work on it and rebuilt the 283 then we took to my cousins so he could paint it and in the mean time his sister got drunk and ran into it and caved in both driver's side doors, it was sadning but i traded it for a Galaxie 500 2dr 👍😉
underside photos are not of this car...1959 had an X frame, and the photos are a ladder frame with headers...but, beautiful beautiful car from the topside! great colors, very interesting history...the Lambrecht auction was a circus!

@@VoloMuseumAutoSales You should remake the video.... I did see the photos, afterward. It's truly is an amazing car, but $63,000... wow! I'd like to know, after restoration how that car kept two miles on the odometer? Has it never been test driven? How would someone know it's in good driving condition if it's never been driven on the road?.... or has it been driven with the speedo disconnected? Where is the restoration video?
Before and after photos?
There seem to be a few example pictures of some of the docs but the car likely sold before anyone got around to uploading more of them.
How was this 2-mile car stored if it needed all the new stuff?
