What's the effect when she reached 50% crit rate to her 1st skill? I don't understand

1:10 everytime Kikyo hits with basic attack, she will get soul until it reach 5. The soul will enhance her basic attack. if you have 50%crit she will enhance until 8 souls or attack 8 times with enhanced basic attack.
