You should do an entire record of beautiful Nightwish interpretations such as this one. I am serious. There are legions of NIghtwish fans that would love this kind of Beautiful piano versions.

Isn't it strange that Nightwish don't really have a single piano only song - despite the band leader being a pianist and keyboardist?
As to the darkness, melancholy and longing, this interpretation really reminds me of Lacrimosa (the Swiss gothic project, not the Mozart piece). Check out "Bresso" or "Stumme Worte", for example.
I'd definitely like to hear more of this.
I think the reason is, Tuomas does not think of himself first as a pianist. His focus is one the songwriting and the poetic lyrics. The piano/keyboards are simply a tool to paint the soundscape required for his compositions. I think this is why he rarely does a solo.@@noneofyerbeeswax8194

When Judson puts on the suit he ain't fuckin around. He really is a master at weaving in those melodies so delicately and subtly and letting it all flow together in such an organic way. This was absolutely beautiful. This interpretation was just what I hoped for when I heard J in a previous video. Genuinely hope he finds enough inspiration in coming NW music to make this a series. I don't know if you'd be allowed to put the sound on Spotify, but I you did this would be my new work music for sure.

I can hear the original sounding major in my head 😛
Its in F minor but goes to F major briefly in the verses but I stayed with the minor because it goes up to F# and briefly to an E in the bass line so staying with the minor, especially with the vocal melody, was where it sounded best to me.

Sorry, but I have watched and listened to Nightwish with Floor Storytime a millions time and this does not even sound one note like Storytime. My honest reaction. Maybe it's because it doesn't have a whole band included in it.
This is a different type of interpretation of the song. It is actually quite accurate nonetheless melodically and chord wise. It is just not a metal version. Inspired by this performance, I might try to play this song on a piano myself some day.
