Thank you so much for posting a how-to for homemade black pepper dal papad dough ! Finding papad that are still reasonably fresh is problematic here on the opposite side of the world (USA), and they're often somewhat overpriced. Being able to make them fresh for a tiny fraction of the cost will be a boon. I recently bought a grainmill and a food dehydrator, and I'm looking forward to giving your technique a try ... I just hope my grain mill will be able to grind the dals finely enough. Assuming not, I may have to resort to warm water and a prolonged overnight rest on the dough before kneading it ... hopefully that can compensate. If I succeed, I'll be sure to let people know.

I had indian food in New york city and in Chicago also. and indian food is absolutely zabardast. Specially everything in which Hing is used.
