I've been trying a paladin sorta build using the Golden Order Greatsword. Fun to get a weapon art hit, but basically impossible due to the silly wind up time.
also people just seem to forget that it explodes when it makes contact, like every clip was the host not even rolling when the main projectile got close

You can find the winged scythe in the weeping peninsula. And if you go to Caelid and farm the Scarlet knights you can get their Halo Scythe and their Cleanrot Spear
That's extremely weird that the poise crystal doesn't stop you from getting shoved with Force, but oh well. Nice to see that the faith version of Bloody Slash doing the same, if not better damage.

Been dual wielding those swords recently. With 80 faith and all the proper spell, talismans and crystal tears, you can reach 700-800+ dmg with the swords.
Once i figured out the parry timings for the ROB WA and Moonveil, they stop becoming an issue in invasions. they still absolutely suck but it's fun seeing hosts that cannot play any other way struggle. If they've got the stats for certain weapons, they have the option of using other weapons but choose not to, I'll never understand it.
Moonveile is so predictable, not that i disagree with you but it was chaotic in first week of release, granted. I have many characters that hard counter both Moonveile and ROB, and iam not even talking about magic parry AOW or erdtree shield, which also delete the both MV and ROB. But i am usually satisfied with the arcane dragon build, lazy strat to counter brainless strats, start off with agheel flame and once they close in, in case so i do it again so they can punish me, once they swallow the bait i cast Greyol roar. Animations are same and by the time they figure out what's going on, they are already caught in the roar's lingering hit box. Works every time and it's easy af. I have other strats if you are interested.
So does anyone think there should be more depth into invading? As other games, I think D2 did it the best. They should really add a covenant system to Elden Ring. With special rewards of various equipments and recognition of rank as an invader. Invading is fun, but it gets old when your only reward is rune arcs and a number of runes.
Bro excellent faith build for RL 100. I'm currently running an 80 FTH build at RL 150, and death lightning (if it ever fucking hits) smacks people for over 1.5k damage it's nuts.
I'm having a hard time using fist weapons in ER, I hope they get buffed a bit because between thir range, their damage, bleed blenders and passive poise they are not in an easy spot
@@Rehvion cipher pata's unblockable blade though is very good for breaking poise and staggering. that's pretty much the main benefit to using them. also, very fast to use. if you shatter someone's guard, they won't be able to react in time for the second blast.

nice work :)... i love using a buckler in left hand with golden parry and seal in the right.. i make out im gonna spam parry so they always jump attack then blast them out of the air with wrath of gold for big damage... there poise is useless. happy days . :).. it still amazes me how big shield uses dont roll the massively slow coded sword skill lol
If straight swords could actually stagger in PVP I would be all about it :/ I’m noticing some clips where yours will and won’t, and I’m still on edge with it
there is a glinstone dagger with great ash of war, there's also this ash ash separately for most weapons, there are a lot of ashes that scales very well with int. also poise casting for sorceries. Dont wait to see it. do it yourself. It would work, i guarantee.
I wonder, if you use the rupture flask and explode, but you use a invincibility skill right before it explodes, does it work? Things like rolling gives you s but the explosion disrupts it, but there are skills that outright reacts to you taking damage like the Ravenmist move, and Vow of Sacred Order move that locks you into a animation with pure invincibility. Would that explosion flask kicks you out of said animations?
i run both the pata and the coded sword as my pure faith build. not sure if i wanna stay 60 faith or go 80. i mean i will have plenty of vigor anyway but im not sure if i wanna invest in mind or mabye a bit of int for Ds spell
Did you know that rot, poison and fetid pots can’t be d? And rot pot mostly one hit rots? Couple that with the exaltation talisman and mushroom hat for free 20% damage
Elden stars in pvp is an evasion/endurance check. A "stamina tax" if you will. If you don't dodge? It kills you. If you do dodge: that's a lot of time spent dodging that you could've been doing other things. If you plan to kill things using Elden stars in pvp: you're doing it wrong. That's not that tool's intended purpose.
It works the best making a target panic, you can then rush in to add pressure and get extra hits/roll catches, but it's not something you can do often in invasions. It's probably not *terrible* but considering the average power level of strong options in this game it can definitely feel weak. I love how it looks.
How do you manage to do all this kind of builds? It’s been a month and all I was able to do is one bleed build and one hybrid with faith. Alas you convinced me to do a pure faith build, any tips for weapon in pve?
4:11 ngl I never found that sword to be strong in PVP, sure it's great at PVE but the wind up is too slow and the beam part of the weapon has the same reason why no one uses Azur Comet in pvp
Sure Katanas are fun but dude there's so much variety in this game, so many fun weapons and builds, don't go for what's popular and what's everyone's using. Anything is viable in Elden Ring, even goat roal build lol.
Would you recommend using the talisman that increases all holy damage but lowers damage negation since your weapons only do holy damage and most of the spells you showed off

You should try the invisibility spells and talasmins with the black knife armor and blade since it does more damage if your in stealth mode

It seems knockback effects override leaden poise, for example Blasphemous Sword WA projectile can still knock you back

Disagree. Moonveil comes out so fast that it's very hard to parry on reaction. Rivers of Blood is easy to parry though.

Cipher Pata is one of those weapons that really shines in PvP but it's god awful in PvE.

Those talismans are very risky in pvp, since the absorbtion penalty is big.
I wouldn't use them on a build that isn't fully ranged.
