- After months of waiting, the TOMY 25th Anniversary Sonic merchandise is out! Today I take a look at the plush set, including 8" Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, and 12" Sonic. This set has already become one of my favorite Sonic plush sets of all time, and I can't wait to see what TOMY has planned next.
Something about hearing people talk so excitedly about plushes makes me so happy, idk why :)

A month ago, my little sister and me just found an anniversary Classic Sonic plush at a games' & merchandise store. It was the only one they had and I just couldn't resist to buy it and to give it to my sister. And she loves it! The plush is perfect, it looks so cute ❤️

Target hasn't had Sonic stuff for years now unfortunately. And to make things worse, the 12" Sonic and all of the figures besides the metallic 3-pack are Toys R Us exclusive.

Jawares already made a classic Amy (which has a skirt problem, so i'd recommend getting the GE one if it's the right size, also the Jazwares one isn't in scale with the 25th anniversary ones), a Metal Sonic (which goes PERFECTLY with the Sonic in this set), and were planning to make a Classic Super Sonic although for some reason it never got approved.

If you haven't seen them listed on the Tomy website, Tails and Knuckles' "years" are switched. The Tails plush is stated as "25th Anniversary Small Plush, 1994 Tails" and Knuckles is stated as "25th Anniversary Small Plush, 1992 Knuckles". In the product description for both plushes, the years are also still switched around! Other products on their website also have some "broken English" which is interesting but slightly funny at the same time!
I saw, it's been like that for months hah. They also have the comic pack of Sonic & Knuckles listed as "Sonic & Knuckle" among other errors. It's funny but really shows how little they must care about the Sonic line not to catch stuff like that after so long, or I guess at least the web page designer must not care lol.
It kind of irritates me that they did that lol! I hope they will change it back and I hope the case isn't that they don't care! I also hope Tomy releases more Classic Sonic merchandise as the 90's era of Sonic was indeed my favorite!
@@PatMacYTI think that you should revive "sonic runners" by using that "fan server", the "resources", the "code", the custom "code", the custom "resources", and everything and anything else that was found in "sonic runners" and also maybe you should talk to the guy who has everything extracted from "sonic runners" because I think you should be able to work together with the person that created the "fan server" for "sonic runners" and you can even ask the people who got everything extracted from "sonic runners" preserved and maybe become a team to keep "sonic runners" going no matter what basically. :/

Solid, in-depth review!! I likely won't be picking these up, but they set a good example of Tomy's capability of making quality Sonic products (which is much-needed after the abysmal line of Sonic Boom action figures). I too hope we get Modern Sonic products from them soon, and I have a feeling we won't be disappointed.
This is a very informative video review. Really like all the info on the previous anniversary lines. Wanted to wait until after I did my review before I watched yours in case it turned too similar ha. Good stuff dude, keep those reviews coming.

I own the 12” Sonic. He’s pretty worn as I played with him a lot. One of the back spikes are unstuffed, But that was something I did. He has tons of sentimental value to me. He’s sitting in front of me as I watch this video atop my huge Kirby inflatable.

I was only able to get the big 25th sonic plush that didnt have the "shiny" appearance. I still wish to get the smaller plushes sometime soon

I prefer the Jazwares Sonic because it's more soft but the Tomy Sonic is pretty cool, too.

As unlikely as it would be I'd like to see a Classic Choatix line with Espio, Charmy, Vector and (if they didn't go with a grinning Knuckles or something) A MIGHTY THE ARMADILLO PLUSH! IF THAT HAPPENED I'D BUY THAT IN HALF A HEARTBEAT!

Error in progress Though it seems even more unlikely than classic chaotix. But Tomy's 2018 catalog was just released. Sadly we only got classic super sonic. At one point we almost got a classic amy and classic metal sonic, but they got cancelled. Thats just a darn shame.

Jazwares Metal Sonic plush is so freaking rare.
The fact that they used that Eggman plush in the official Sonic channel's meme videos makes that plush so much better

Did they ever reboot the 20th anniversery plushes? I have the classic tails, but I found it at a wallgreens in a sonic the hedgehog plush bin, the tag says Sonic the hedgehog, and not 20th anniversery, and the tag had the Sonic the hedgehog logo (trying to remember) with a yellow and brown checkered pattern?
Yes they did rerelease them as standard non anniversary plushes, most companies do that, and TOMY probably will do the same with these.

i found a classic sonic pluh in the toy ile of walmart and i also saw a kid have knuckles and tails and at my walmart there selling the figure sets i couldn't get it
I like the tails plush. He is well designed and made. His details and material was great. And he is super cute as a small plush mostly from his face. Like just look at that smile, those eyes. Who can say no to classic tails? He just really makes my day.

I'd suggest to always keep tags on plushes. They usually look nice, and in the long run you'll regret cutting them off especially if you eventually start collecting or selling them. Collectors usually only want plushes with tags on as it signifies them as still being in new condition.

Nope, he was only available in a pack with Sonic, Tails, Amy, Super Sonic and Motobug, and that pack was pretty expensive so it didn't sell very well, and now Classic Metal is pretty rare. I'm really glad I got it when I did.
I recently just started collecting these since i wasnt as big of a sonic fan when these came out as i am now i have sonic,tails and recently just ordered knuckles he is on his way

How do you keep getting the GE sonic X plushes so quickly?! I've been searching for a few years and I haven't seen a trace is them!
It's all down to luck I guess, hah. The Knuckles I found was in a random lot on eBay US, I guess no one else saw it as I was the only bid. I found Sonic by searching by recent images in some Google Image search, and it was on eBay Australia. The listing was only called "Sonic the hedgehog plush". So maybe try searching more broadly, or think outside the box. I don't really have a method or anything, I'd have Tails, Cream and Shadow by now if I did, lol.

You know how Toys r Us is going out of business? My local one had 2 of those larger classic sonic plushes. I prefer that one over the smaller ones definitely. I know it's still in stock online in several places, but I thought it was interesting/a sign of the times that they still had 2 year old plushes on the shelves.
I think tails looks better in orange. It's a complimentary color to blue so it works better when paired with sonic. I don't know why they changed tails to yellow. Not a bad color I just think orange worked better.

To me The GE Classic Eggman is the 4th best Eggman plush, it’s better than the TOMY plush in my opinion, but both are insanely good plushes.
My Top five list is
1. Sonic X UFO Catcher Eggman
2. Sonic Adventure Eggman
3. GE Modern Eggman
4. GE Classic Eggman
5. TOMY Classic Eggman
