I have been a false conversion for almost my whole life (21) years. I always felt like I was missing something and it wasn’t until I truly understood sin (by watching your videos) that I humbled myself and repented and trusted Jesus. I feel radically different now. I love God sooo much!!! I crave righteousness! My chains are gone! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Praise Jesus! Thank you Ray!

      Praise the Lord! 🤗
I too have a similar story, my whole life- 21 years! -I thought I was a Christian simply because I grew up in church, believed all the facts, and said a prayer when I was young.
I found Ray's videos after I was truly born again, and they are so encouraging and have helped me to understand my previous false conversion better. I never had a grip of my sin before, never knew what it was to repent, and never had a real thirst for righteousness!

Thankyou Ray , I have recently made a recommitment to Christ and it’s all through your videos on you tube. For around 40 years I’ve been going back and forth and getting nowhere in my Christian walk because of a lack of understanding that I was never really a Christian. I never knew why. Being caught up in the prosperity churches, and never seeing the fruit of true conversion is the fastest way to fall away from the church all together. I’ve learned much from your videos and I believe I’ve found a good church now. I pray daily and I actually feel different this time because so many things that never made sense before, suddenly do. I thank God for you and your videos Ray , and I pray that one day I too will have the knowledge and courage to go out as a lamb amongst the wolves and win souls for Christ. Thank you.

I had always thought that my conversion happened when I was about age seven. I was sitting alone in my room, reading a paperback book from my parents' bookshelf. It was called Good News for Modern Man (c1968.) Having been to various Sunday schools with the neighbors, it didn't take me long to realize that I had a Bible in my hands. (I later learned it was an NIV.) I read the parable of the sower and it scared the living daylights out of me because I had ears to hear. I understood the parable! But I had no one to talk with about it. My growth as a Christian was not upward-linear. Quite the contrary. I'd fall repeatedly, but I keep coming back again and again, hoping I am not the one who will be turned away as I cry out, "Lord, Lord!" I'd been held in one 'prison' after another in the form of sexual abuse in my family of origin which led me to a couple of very bad marriages. Now I am a widow at age 61 - looking for a reformed church and asking for prayer. Since I was seven, I had always hoped that mine would be a heart like fertile soil, eager to host the seed from God - to become rooted in His Word, growing branches for the birds and bearing good fruit to share. If you are reading this - please pray for me, and I will for you. Thank you. 7/10/22

I'm new to listening to Ray Comfort. I've been sharing my faith for many years. After careful consideration of what Ray is preaching I concede that I have not preached the full gospel with the focus on the law to begin with. I have always pointed out that we are born into sin and sin practically as humans but I've never really laid out some of the ten commandments in order to help them see that they are guilty of breaking God's law. So begins my new way of presenting the gospel.

Well we are sinners by nature. And when we are saved our spirit is saved but our flesh will or can sin. So you not on your own. This is why the lord says confess your sins to one another that you might be healed.. but be wise in who you share with.. paul says ifind myself doing what I should not do. And I do not do what I should do. Who will deliver me from this . Jesus christ the lord. The blood of jesus christ gods son cleanses from all sin. 1 John 1 vs 9 says if we confess our sins he is righteous and just to forgive us our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Count yourself dead to sin corinthians dead people don't sin.. when you were born again you was coverted to life.... so count yourself dead to sin and alive to christ. Hope this helps god bless. Ps any body who confess to god is of god. He come to save sinner. While we were yet sinner christ died for us. So if you are a sinner you are the perfect person. Come unto me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest... a have you ever had the gift of the holy spirit??? If not get back to me. Please. If you have you will know.????

I am afraid of being a false convert. I don’t pray often, and I don’t read my Bible often, and I struggle with lust. I am afraid of being lost. I hate my sin, but I don’t feel convicted of my sin. How do I know if I am a false convert?

    • @RepentfollowJesus
      @RepentfollowJesus 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@BryanChandler1905 by being able to sin and get away with it. Not feeling guilty. Read galatians 5. And re listen to this video. If we are truly saved we will want to please God because we love Him. We love Him because He first loved us. So much so that He gave His only begotten Son to suffer and die and shed His blood to pay for our sins on the cross. Would you die for sinners ? Then imagine how much love that took. Don't you think He deserves our true love and desire to please Him. He wants to hear from you. So pray. How will you know how to please Him or even how much He loves you or know anything about Him if you don't read His Bible? Start in John in the new testament and read daily all the way through. If you won't make time for Him, you probably are not a true convert. It happened to me. I read for hours a day. Then I stopped ( long story) that was in 1994. I am just now getting hunger for God the way I should . I have struggled with my salvation since the 70s. Now I know why I didn't have assurance. I either was not a true Christian or I was badly backsliding. Now, I want God. There us not one thing nor experience on earth worth not having true Christianity for. It's all a vapor. You look up one day. You are old and know life is short now and all the things you wasted your life on were worthless. Friends were not true friends. Lovers did not love you. Fun you has before is doing nothing for you now ,it's over. It was like trading your life for emptiness. It glittered but was only aluminum foil, not gold and diamonds. God is the only answer. Remember. You are not promised another day. Run to Him now while you can !!

This man is praying Lord make me to be accounted worthy to stand before the Son of man, whenever I see the attachment people have to the world, I endeavour to have less of it. John the Baptist, would be unwelcome in so many places where people worship as the filthy lucre evident. My one to one evangelism is peppered with my own testimony as I got converted, after reading the N. T. for months, and praying for some dynamic unmistakeable revelation of God. The disappointments of seeing that the Book of Life is a means for respectability soon was unmasked. So the best thing that happened to me was complete breakdown, and I thank God for those saints unseen who pray for others. That is those still on earth, Thanks Ray for reminding us that excellence is not cheap in this instant access to spiritual maturity so called. Pray for me to know my responsibility is to be like Jesus,. consistently producing the fruit of the Spirit is no joke.

How can you not enjoy this man? Once a man said to him "Is morality real or is it just God's arbitration?" and Ray didn't really know how to answer but I was thinking "Arbitration can't apply to God because he is eternal, and what he is, is, and what he says, is. It is a logical fallacy to separate God from that which is intrinsic to existence. 100% of existence came from God." Why people don't know how to think logically is sad and from the devil's spite and lies, they are trying to use a false reality and adhere God to it. But on that occasion Ray didn't have an answer so I am saying it now.

+stephen stewart +Joel Herrera That's good I am glad that God is stirring your hearts to focus more of your energy on His kingdom! Paul said in 1 Corinthians 6:12 "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are
profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by
anything." It is amazing that even the things that are not inherently a sin (such as video games) can still become a master and enslave us to them. I have found that things like this (as well as all serious sins) can be put under the strength of God by calling on Him in every moment of weakness and asking Him to put new desires and new thoughts in your heart and mind. This is a good discipline to learn early and practice on something like this because it will do you much good later on. Don't rely on your own strength and discipline--get used to calling on God and using His. Be blessed. :)

You must be born again to have your eyes open to your sins, then you will have a longing to repent from your sins, and this can only be done by the Holy Spirit and not of yourself.
To be born again the Holy Spirit convicts you of your sins, through that conviction the Father draws you to Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins through His suffering, death, and resurrection, the Holy Spirit then transforms your mind to repent from your sins.
You now have the choice given by the power of the Holy Spirit to give up your sins and follow Jesus, trusting in His suffering death for God’s forgiveness, and His resurrection for your justification when you do sin, or you can keep your sins by not following Him; thereby eternally paying for your own sins that you refuse to give up in the lake of fire

I agree with Ray that belief in God does not make life easier, and it should not, it is not the purpose of belief. But the Bible says that if you worship God instead of mammon you are to be rewarded with water, food, and clothing. God promises that if you seek His Kingdom you will receive these things, and thus an easier life.

Ray, how can I tell if I am a false convert? I’ve been asking myself if I am a Christian since I was 11. I’m now 18. I don’t read my Bible often, I don’t pray often, and I struggle with lust and adultery. I hate my sin, and I’m afraid that I might be lost. At times, I don’t feel convicted over my sin. How can I know if I am saved or lost? I’m afraid of being lost. Can you please help me?

I agree with most of this teaching however, there are many churches teaching heretical and blasphemous teachings. I simply can not sit there and listen to that. When people get together and have Bible study in someone's home, apartment, etc that is in keeping with assembling yourself. The heretical- blasphemous teaching such as little g god doctrine where christians believe they are little gods is not true doctrine. These people have other teachings that are just as wrong. Many, many churches have false doctrines and when they are false, they serve a false Savior and a false Savior does not save. It is hard work to find a true church teaching an uncompromised doctrine.

m m He’s saying that true converts are no longer slaves to the law. True converts see the goodness of God and his gracious gift of Jesus Christ so we can be forgiven of our sins. In accepting this wonderful gift of redemption, we are now desiring a new life in Christ and strive to live as he lived. Not because we ‘have’ to.... because we WANT to. It’s called being born again because we are now not desiring to live the way we used to just sinning without a care. Now if we sin, we have remorse and regret. It’s called having a repentant heart. We don’t want to sin and offend the God who has been so gracious to us. But we’re not perfect and make mistakes so when we mess up we can confess what we did wrong to God and he is just and will forgive us because Jesus paid the price for that sin. We are no longer going to experience the death penalty for our sin. We are no longer slaves to the law.

Someone who doesn't understand sin, language, words, conceptual thought at all, fit in? How WILL God judge THEM? Someone who would be unable to even begin to understand language, let alone teachings. I just wanted others' opinions, as Ray Comfort stresses so strongly that ALL have to speak words of repentance. Anything that falls short of the glory of God is sin. We are not saved by being perfect, but only by the imputed righteousness of our saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.
Don't destroy the hope of those who, while yielding good fruit have a moment where they fall short. God is not unable and helpless to forgive us for sins after we have Him in our heart, who have not turned our backs and renounced His holy name.
Otherwise it would be like a death sentence for someone to repent and accept the gospel early in their life, if God was unable to forgive someone who missed a day in taking up their cross daily and living as someone who had died to self and lives for Christ.
Pride is a terrible sin! Do you not know that the proud and haughty are an abomination to God and will not enter into heaven?
Please check your heart and know that the Lord is able and ready to forgive you, if you repent.

Oh no Joe! That’s not about people who have truly accepted the gift of salvation from Christ. It’s referring to false conversions where people WANT to accept this gift and think it sounds like a great idea, but don’t really want it. They would rather just keep living in their sin and debauchery with a prideful heart doing whatever pleases their flesh. They do not have a truly repentant and humble heart to accept this gift of freedom from the law. When someone is truly having their faith in the redeeming gift of Jesus Christ paying the wages for OUR sin, they don’t WANT to sin anymore. They don’t want to offend the God that has so graciously given them this gift. No one is perfect, hence why Jesus had to die for our sins in the first place. But now when we mess up and sin, we have remorse and regret and confess to God with a humble heart that we messed up and are truly repentant. We are truly sorry for what we did against his law. God is just and faithful and will forgive us so we are no longer going to pay the death penalty for this sin. Jesus’ atoning blood paid for that! We no longer want to live in sin, we want to live as Christ lived and do good works.... not because we have to... because we WANT to. ❤️

Tell the people that all they need is to believe (to what extent?) in Jesus and have an emotional experience, and then they are automatically saved and sealed in Christ's Blood, no matter how many sins they commit later on, and what are going to get? People marching up to the altar call, accepting Jesus (some of them know next to nothing about Jesus or His teachings), feeling great for awhile, not enrolling or attending any church, and going back to the same old sins after a few weeks.
    What do you expect?
Protestant easy salvationism---just believe---does not work and is not biblical.

Check yourself think like the Bereans(sic) I might have gotten the spelling correct. It is written in 1 John 8-10 "If we claim to be without sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us 9 If we confess our sins, He is FAITHFUL AND JUST and will foregive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and the truth is not in us. At first I listened to this man but he takes two steps back and one foreward. We are not Saved by works but by Faith alone in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The Apostle John was not addressing non beleivers but beleivers who had been bought by the Precious Blood of the Lamb of God and told them that if they sinned they could confess their sins and they would be foregiven. This man almost placed a yolk on me just like the Pharesis did in the times of Christ Jeaus. Yes submit to God only bow down to Him only and worship Him only. Psalm 146:3...... For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God

    • @honeylambkathy7004
      @honeylambkathy7004 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Otilio Hernandez I’m sorry but I think you misunderstood what Ray was saying. He was referring to faith without works is dead. (James 2:14-26) You are not saved by works. No one can earn salvation or people would pridefully boast about how they earned it (Ephesians 2:9). Salvation can only come from accepting the gracious gift of Jesus Christ paying the price for OUR sin. When a person truly accepts this gift of redemption and freedom from the law, they have a humble and repentant heart and WANT to change the way they have been living. They no longer want to live in sin everyday and offend the God that gave them this amazing gift. They now want to try and live as Christ lived. But none of us are perfect. Now when we mess up and sin, we have remorse and regret and humbly confess our sins to God and He is just and will forgive them. We have redemption through Jesus Christ. He has paid the price for our sin. So no, Ray isn’t saying we have to do good works to get this gift, rather he’s saying when we get this gift we are so grateful that we WANT to do good works and don’t want to sin anymore. Faith in Jesus Christ’s atoning gift of salvation brings our hearts to humility and repentance and we just WANT to live as he lived. Hence the scripture, Faith without works is dead.

  • @pastorjessemartinez

I can see Ray Comfort’s heart. He's living the godly and disciplined life he reads is vital in the Scriptures. He wants people to live out their faith. Paul wanted the same thing of the Philippians (Php. 2:12). However, Ray is angry by the lack of motivation in this Laodicean church age we find ourselves. So, he’s weaponized godly living as a requirement for true conversion. It has become his lens of interpretation. I think Ray loves God, loves Jesus, and loves the Bible. But he has twisted the interpretation of Scripture because God’s people are lazy and undisciplined. Good fruit is not the measure of a person's salvation. The empty tomb, the shed blood, and the person of Jesus Christ is the measure of a person's salvation. A man is saved by faith in Jesus death, burial, and resurrection for the payment of all his sins. Good works, disciplined living, and any other godly principles are all the results of walking in the Spirit, which has nothing to do with a person getting to Heaven or not. Please be aware, listeners.

My understanding is that godly living would be evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives as a true follower of Jesus. It’s not sinless perfection …that’s not possible until we are in our glorified bodies. just a thought after I read your comment.

Thank you for sharing this comment. I agree with you fully. We must be so careful not to mingle faith + works as the basis for salvation. Works are an evidence of someone being truly born again, but the Bible repeatedly says we receive salvation by belief. Of course, it must be a belief of the heart, and not just head knowledge! When I understood grace and trusted Christ alone to save me, I naturally repented. It’s His love that leads us to repentance! Praise God that salvation is made so simple for us that children and the thief on the cross can receive eternal life. The work has been finished for us, and when we rest in that we will want to live for Christ.

The struggle between the flesh and the Spirit ends when we are Born Again:
When we are Born Again Jesus circumcises us by cutting away the flesh that causes us to sin:
    Scripture Says:
"and in Him (Jesus) you were also CIRCUMCISED with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ;" Colossians 2:11-13
Once we are circumcised. The Flesh nature is miraculously removed in a circumcision without hands by Jesus. We are set free from the sinful desires of the flesh.
The bible clearly tells us that after we are Born Again we dont have 2 natures.
Romans 6:18 "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness."
If we are slaves to righteousness, we are righteous.
Scripture says that the flesh has absolutely no control over one who has been Born Again.
"You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you.
And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him."
    Romans 8:9
When we are Born Again, we no longer have a war between the flesh and the Spirit. Scripture says:
"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." 1 John 3
Scripture also says that one who has been Born Again cannot be tempted into sinning:
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man and God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
    1 Corinthians 10:13
Scripture means exactly what it says.
There is tremendous power in God's grace. When Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, he did not leave us hopeless so that we would live our lives in the misery of sin.
When we repent from the heart he forgives us and cleanses us from all sin and unrighteousness.
At that time we are circumcised by Jesus & we are Born Again.
The Holy Spirit has power to conquer the human flesh and free us from sinning from that point on.
    What an amazing gift.
It is the gift of life.
Anyone who dies in their flesh will receive eternal Damnation, because Jesus said that we must be Born Again to enter his kingdom.
The Apostle Paul said that we are judged for the deeds done while in the body rather good or bad. You must recieve the spiritual circumcision before you die. You cannot be reborn and made right with God after you die. The false church has decieved masses of people into believing that everyone will die in their flesh and be made righteous after death. This is the opposite of what the Bible teaches is required for Salvation.
If you die without the spiritual circumcision and the removal of the flesh nature, which is God's forgiveness when we are adopted, it will be too late.
"For if ye live according to the flesh, ye shall die; but if through the Spirit ye mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live." Romans 8:13

  • @Myjesus-1
    @Myjesus-1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Those who are truly saved are obedient to God.
It is true that people couldn't be saved under the Law alone, but Jesus didn't die on the cross to free us to sin.
It is ridiculous to believe that Jesus didn't have a better plan than to make sin legal so that we can be saved.
Deceived Christians are believing that Jesus had no other way to save us than to allow sin as a way to bring Salvation.
In truth, when he died on the cross, he was able to send the Holy Spirit, who is able to transform us to true righteousness so that we can obey God’s laws and be saved.
We must be Born Again and converted to righteousness.
Since the beginning of the bible sin was never allowed.
Decieved Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to change that and to allow human beings to continue to sin, and grace would remove the penalties for breaking his laws. This would only allow people to destroy themselves with sin, because over time,
    sin hardens the heart.
    Sin causes blindness.
Sin destroys the human conscience, which leads to depravity.
That would not be grace at all.
Deceived Christians believe this is God's only solution for Salvation. They are wrong. God does not leave us in a sinful state, because it would destroy us both mentally and spiritually. Rather, God's grace is that he blesses us with cleanliness and righteousness so that we can live a free and happy life.
False ministers interpret the bible with the ignorance of mortal men, and they teach these things as truth.
Covering up sin is like sweeping more and more dirt under the carpet and leaving it there.
This is man's way, not God's way.
When we are truly saved, God's grace frees us from the bondage of sin itself.
Blind Christians dont understand that God's ways are higher than the ways of human beings.
