just to point out a detail I like, in 1:49 when TheShy said "When I won Worlds last time, it was in Korea." he said it in Korean, nodding to his birth nationality, then the line after that "After five years, I'm back." was said in Mandarin, nodding to his allegiance to LPL.
"The fifth trophy is for you." this idea was given to Faker during a stream and boy did he fucking deliver. A fan messaged that "If the 4th trophy was for your teammates, can the 5th trophy be for us?"
I feel like not many people who are just introduced to League esports (like reactors etc) don't watch the teasers, but the teasers have been incredible the last 2 years, pure amazing story telling from Riot production.
11:13 the best thing about gumayusi saying "i will not stop ruler, i will crush him" is the pay off from it in the actual match. the famous moment in the match this teaser was made for... in the last game of the series, game 4 of t1 vs jdg, gumayusi beats both ruler and 369, 1v2s them in the bottom river with some absolutely insane mechanics and apm, to secure the teamfight that ultimately won t1 the game and the series and stopped the golden road. the caster said in that moment: "ruler goes down! guma's just better". guma did not only say he will crush him in the teaser, but he actually kept his word in the match that followed. very cool. and that is against ruler, the consensus best adc in the world at the time and for some the best of all time. gumachad.
Thank you Mr. Phil Choi and his team for producing bangers after bangers of teasers at worlds for the past 2 years. Something amazing is that they do all of these especially the semis and finals with almost less than a week of prep and shoot but they are all *chef’s kiss god-tier in visuals and storytelling.

Just a silly superstition around worlds winners: Historically, teams that win worlds have white uniforms on even years and black uniforms on years that end with an odd number. A big example of this is 2022, where T1 wore black and was the heavy favorite, but lost to DRX that was wearing white. It has happened before with teams as heavy favorites wearing other colors like blue or orange and losing to teams that wear the color corresponding to the year. The only exception, of course, has been Faker on 2013, wearing red back when T1 was still SKT. It became a self fulfilling prophecy now, since this year almost all LCK and LPL teams and many european and northamerican teams wore white 😂
I love their use of Phoenix in the 2024 Swiss stage trailer. Not just because it links back to the 2019 worlds in Europe but because they essentially have the players bring up their "monsters and demons" of the past. And then the lyrics come in with "conquer the monsters in your head" and "bury your demons" and the fly like the Phoenix.

This video made me remember the stress I had watching that 2024 Finals. Remembering that 2024 Finals made me remember the stress from 2023 Semi Finals. That 2024 Finals, specifically game 4, Was the most quiet version of me when watching any match of T1. Both hands on my face, stressed of the idea that T1 will lose game 4 and eventually the whole tournament. It really was a very stressful year as a T1 fan, losing the spring finals to GENG, losing MSI, almost not being able to qualify to Worlds. You know who made all the stress disappear? The same player who took away the same stress from 2023 Game 3, T1 Faker. The emergence of ASCENDED LEVEL Faker in Game 4, that game alone was crazy. I remembered after they win Game 4 I was unable to scream my heart out because it was 1 oclock in the morning and my family was asleep, and if I scream I'd wake them all up. But damn that feeling was great! All the heavy stress from my body magically disappear after that Game 4 win. It's a blessing witnessing T1 WINNING after all those years of losing. RUN IT BACK!
i dont even play LoL and i know nothing about the game but im obsessed with their World teasers since last year. My top 2 teasers are 1. JDG vs T1 SemiFinal 2023 and 2. GenG vs T1 SF World 2024. Faker's "ALL ROADS LEAD TO ME" probably my all time fav for me.

If I may, I'd recommend for you to check out the Worlds Moments & Memories series - they're recaps (10-20 minutes) of each Worlds, except the first few. They're really hype, and give some history of the teams and players. Oh, and while T1 did win against BLG, it was a really close 3-2. BLG gave a performance worthy of a World Champion and lead the series 2-1. But, that T1 squad is the best 5 man roster in history, so it was just barely not enough. Huge props to them though, and I hope players like Bin and Knight can get the Worlds title they deserve at this point.
now you need to watch the "eyes on worlds 2017" mini docs people don't talk much about them, but imho they are one of the best pieces of worlds content we have ever gotten over the years (also the teasers for 2019 and 2022 are also sick, specially 2022 with the whole last dance storyline)

Winning the 2 domestic titles, MSI (the other international event other than world's) and now only had to win worlds. They were DOMINATING all year round and were considered the heavy favorites going into worlds. Ruler is considered the best ADC in the world and knocked out faker in 2017. 2024 context, T1 were struggling all year round, with extreme DDOS issues and other problems. They barely made worlds as the 4th seed of the LCK where they beat KT 3-2. So they were 1 game loss away from not making it as the world champs. People expected them to not win it and be out early since every other team from the LPL and LCK just looked better. 2024 T1 Vs GenG. GenG are known as domestic titans. Doing incredible all year round and were practically T1's kryptonite. People said that if T1 would lose to 1 team it would be GenG, since they have beaten T1 over and over and over again. Chovy is considered the best player of this generation and his lane matchup is Faker, the best of all time. 2024 T1 Vs BLG. BLG was the best LPL team at that moment. In the semifinals they fought against WBG (2023 2nd place) and demolished them. The whole game was insane and had ever League fan on the edge of their seat. T1 and BLG basically went back and forth dominating their games and in the end, T1 barely came out on top because of some game winning plays from Faker. Imo BLG was the better team that series, but thank's to Faker's insane clutch potential they won it. Without some of those plays BLG would be champions
For me the teaser of "2018 worlds championship Quarterfinals" will always be one of the best. The music, visuals and story. With Gen G losing "king be falling" and EU rising to the finals.
