He's completely and utterly terrified of talking to people in a setting where he can't control what he hears or reads. When he played rainbow six last year he got spooked when he thought he heard a guy on the mic say "reloading" when it was just the NPC. He then lied claiming he heard someone screaming into the mic and quickly left the game.
