    I like your teaching! Expressions, phrases, or words with explanation or meaning and examples, esp. vocabulary by topic with phrases, expressions and example sentences (thorough lessions).

    Hi Cindy: thank you very much for your French instructional videos and written lessons. I print the lesson and use it to refresh my memory whenever I am in between commercials while watching TV, having a cup of coffee at Burger King, and even at church when I am taking a break from meeting our parishioners. I carry these pages with me in my back pocket as a constant reminder of my ongoing commitment to learn French. Not only are you a beautiful person on the outside but you also come across as a humble, competent and gentle language instructor. You are a gem!

    Cindy, I continue to enjoy your PDF lessons which I find very useful in conjunction with your videos. I, generally, preview the PDF lesson before I view your video. Then, I watch your video with a PDF copy on my lap while I listen to your voice and read the file at the same time for enhanced understanding. I usually carry the PDF lesson on my back pocket, and you can say that I carry this French "Bible" and you with me on a daily basis. Take care and Muchas gracias. As an after thought, is there a French equivalent of our English saying "to kill two birds with one stone."?

    I have a theory for 7. Back when telephones came out, you had to call an operator that would take your call and connect you to the person you wanted to call. Usually taking the wire your phone was connected to and connect it to the other phone wire. That's my theory.
    I did watch to the end of your video.
    Merci beaucoup.

    Can you explain me the meaning of Bon- apres- midi and ala pochen

    • @Frencheezi
      @Frencheezi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Bon(ne) après-midi means good afternoon. À la prochaine (fois) means see you (next time). The "fois" meaning "time" is implied. The same happens in English whereby you can either say "see you" or "see you next time". Hope this helps 🙂

    Has the usage of "simple" changed like "ok" has in the last 25 years? When I learned French I was taught to use "facile" and "d'accord" instead. "Simple" meant more like "singular" or "elementary".

    Etre au courant would translate to 'be in the know' in English. Americans like to use this phrase occasionally.

    In your video "Adverbs of Frequency" you stated that ne.....jamais means never but on No 22 of this video there is no negation. Why is that? It is something I have seen in a multitude of places but it is contrary to "The Rules". Please don't tell me it is inferred by context.
