As someone who is living in an earthquake prone country and has already been through many big quakes (a M9.0 too) there is a good chance a larger one could come within the next 10 days. It may also not happen in the same epicenter and could happen in any other parts of the fault or even another fault line. Either way, it’s better to be alert than sorry so keep your evacuation bag handy, some emergency supplies/food, talk with friends/family about where you’ll meet if it happens, and be aware of your surroundings (a lot of times nature will alert you in advanced before the tremor). The quake is scary and dangerous too, but remember, tsunami is worse so get to higher ground immediately. I lost a few friends to a massive tsunami back in 2011, because they went back home to get their stuff. DO NOT DO THAT. Also, if possible, turn off any fire if on if possible and if you do need to evacuate, turn off the gas and electricity(if it’s not automatic). This will prevent gas leaks and if there is a power outage, the electricity won’t start up and engulf your home into flames. Stay safe and sending safe protecting energy to you all!

I've been in a 4.3 and we were about 70 miles from the epicenter. That was crazy intense and disorienting. I couldn't imagine a 7.0
Just like a bomb how close you are really matters, not just the size of the bomb. That 7.0 was a fair distance offshore hence little damage.
Biggest I've experienced was a 7.8, house was still trembling 20 mins later.
