  • Hello and Welcome to SureenaSpeaks!©
Failing an exam is never a nice feeling, and for 2018-19, this year saw the lowest June pass rate for the GPhC pharmacy pre-registration exam. Lessons can be learnt when we don't achieve the great we're after, but the bottom line is that an exam doesn't define you. Hopefully this video can provide you with some perspective. Happy Revisings! :)

Hey Sureena. I just came across your profile and gotta say it's really nice to see someone giving advice for people who failed an exam / test in uni, pharmacy in particular given how stressful this course is.
I luckily found out that I finally got my MPharm degree last week from Reading Uni, but I remember failing my 1st official attempt of our OSCEs in 3rd year (despite doing a mock), and I felt utterly devastated. What makes it even worse is when all your other course friends have passed their attempt. It's hard not to compare with other people but you still do.
Consolidating on what you mentioned, your grades doesnt define your competence in the degree, or failing an assessment. It really is a matter of perseverance, trying your best, and the ability to bounce back from a negative event.

Hiya! Lovely to hear from a fellow Reading alumni! Thank you for your kind words, and demonstrating that a knock back can propel you forward! :) I'm sure everyone at one point or another has failed at something, and we learn so much from our failures and mistakes; it's the courage, bravery and perseverance that's demonstrated after which is the true mark of success :)

Great video, I’ve actually got my resit for my final years M13 exam in two days and I was feeling really down and out. But thinking about what you said I have to be more confident and believe in myself and if it doesn’t happen I’m sure gods got something else planned for me. All I can do is give it my all and hope for the best

I failed Pam's but passed the final attempt , that was my horrible situation ever in my life, Iafter year out going back to final year. I know 8 should work harder to not go through that situation in OSCE but I am always worrying if failure again in part 4 and not able to study. My feeling is that if I don't graduate after hard work that is end of my life . Horrible feeeeling
