- One of the quintessential matchups in foil fencing - The fast fencer against the tall fencer.
The ultimate example of this is this match between World Champion Tommasso Marini and Team World Champion Kazuki Iimura.
They each demonstrate adaptation tactically to fence to their opponent's strengths and weaknesses, with Marini scoring a lot of stop hits and using his long arm and reach advantage, whereas Iimura scores multiple hits in close quarters and using explosive running and fleche atacks. - กีฬา
Damn, Iimura had done what the world’s strongest fencers couldn’t. Hope at the Olympics he will save the world from Marini once again

I love a classic height vs speed foil bout, it makes the fencing interesting. 😃
Tommasso is a good fencer, but you've got to admit that his style does not look very pretty
He looks like a spider 😢 but you’re right
It's not quite as exciting as iimura i have to agree, but Marini is the strongest men's foilist right now 😤💪
He’s a mediocre fencer who uses height effectively.
@@dzfz2100 ye, but that’s why he’s good (don’t like his style either) but he’s better than every other tall fencer on the circuit rn (no front miles)
@@dzfz2100To say Marini is mediocre is utterly ridiculous sorry. His distance, bladework and especially timing are world class which is why he’s… you know.. the world champion
Last touch 😂😂 he tried
Наконец интересный бой
🔥🔥🔥
So so much calmer and has way more patience since he won junior worlds lol no more fleche flicking that said hes so good
Bring back the fleche flicking 😤😤😤
His flicks were a thing of beauty 🤩
But I think now definitely he’s one of the stronger fencers and especially he’s just become a senior he’s going to be realllyyyyyyyy good 😌
@@zakninja3706 absolutely 🔥🔥🔥
Belgrade?
This one was Turin, but they must have fenced like 4 or 5 times this year
@@OlympicFoil looked like it was a T8 and I think the only T4 this year for Iimura was in Belgrade
mura no dif
and with the mini comeback too
