Great cards, Ardyth! Thanks for the tips! When I make shaker cards, after I put in the shaker bits, I adhere another piece of acetate to seal them. Then you can arrange it perfectly on your panel. Hope this tip helps you and your subscribers. Have a wonderful weekend! ♥️
The colors are beautiful! I need to reassess my inks. Too many I’m not happy with and some are fantastic! Live (spend way too much money) and learn 😅 Appreciate you NOT being a long commercial just selling products. Most of us can’t afford keeping up with buying all that ❤ You amaze us
Hi, another tip, I put the shaker bits on the front panel and to seal them in, I put another piece of acetate on it. Then you can freely lift the shaker to place on the card base. Thanks for all the great tips.
@@ardyth I love to 'sandwich' the shaker fill between 2 pieces of acetate. I can see through to the card base to get perfect placement. Love your videos Ardyth. Thanks from a fellow Canadian.
OMG! Ardith, the tip about the shaker card is brilliant! I’m quite sure I never would have come up with that on my own. Thanks for a wonderful tip. I really enjoy your videos 😊
This was an awesome TH-cam. Love all the different tips for using word dies. I'm going to save this one as one of my favs to go back to. Thank you for the inspiration.
This video is so helpful, Ardyth. I particularly appreciated that you took the time to fussy cut the base when there was no die for behind the word. Now I will use that technique to make the words more grounded. Thank you. 💕🇨🇦
Oh my, Ardyth! You did it once again…filled my brain with tons of ideas! I am amazed at how you used the rectangle dies to figure out placement, for your shaker card! I will be doing THAT! Thank you so much for another great video!
Great tips! Love the cards. Another tip from me would be to draw around the edge of your word die to create a faux background when you don’t have one for that die. Works great. Still need to fussy cut though. 😉
@Ardyth • Great video. I like videos that show multiple techniques for a single tool. I love using the word dies as a background. Very unique. I know these videos take a lot of time & prep work, but have you considered adding time stamps so we can go right to a technique when we refer back to the video? Thanks for sharing. 👍
Loved the video, but the tip for the shaker card is absoluetly the best said the shaker-card maker ! Why did I not think of that ? Thank you so much Ardyth. ♥
Great tips thank you. For many of my shaker cards, I die cut a piece of craft foam instead of using 3d tape. I do put a double side adhesive on the foam so I don't have to glue it. It's both time saving and cheaper. Especially if I mass produce the cards. When I do use foam adhesive, I dust the sides before pulling the release paper off, to keep the shaker contents from sticking to the side of the tape. I have used anti static powder or talc.
I love how you used the same four colours in every card in this video. It helped to focus on the technique vs the (gorgeous &graphic) cards. Very professional! I also like the non-trad Xmas colours. I always come away inspired by your videos.
Haha! Can I tell you a little secret? I started doing that just so the cards would look better in a photo all together. But I agree that it can help focus on the technique, and I'll definitely take that compliment, thank you very much! And thanks so much for watching!
gah! great tips! They seem so obvious, but I'm still learning to modify my supplies. Shaker cards always trip me up, but you made it look easy and beautiful.
I think some of the ideas here could work - using them as a background like the faux embossing, or repeating them like the merry. I'll put my thinking cap on for a future video! Thanks for watching!
When I’m making a shaker card I use another piece of acetate on the back and that way I have a sealed unit I can place easily on the background. Saved me so much time
