- In this video I take a look at the promotional music released in preparation for the 3rd season of Link Click, Yingdu Chapter. These are the songs ‘BREAK!’, ‘Now & Forever’ and ‘Surprising Click’. I do a deep dive into the lyrics and visuals, and try to find their place in the overarching Link Click timeline(s).

I honestly now think this series is gonna end with Lu Guang realising he has no choice but to let Cheng Xiaoshi eternally rest. I think a real tear-jerker would be for us to see the CXS from the OG timeline even thank LG for finally letting him do just that

About Break!:
I'm interested in the hourglasses because I don't remember seeing them previously. They seem to represent timelines since they show up when LG sings "take control of all the timelines." He is therefore giving CXS control on one of them. First we see LG coloured while CXS is white, then CXS is coloured and LG is white, in the end they are both coloured, which shows their growth. First LG knows somehing CXS doesn't, then other way around and finally they are on the same page. LG's black wings are similar to CXS's white ones so I think it's more a fallen angel rather than a whole demon. Also CXS is wearing both black and white so he isn't similarly all evil as LG seems to be. CXS has a halo in the cover art while LG has horns. LG takes care of CXS as we see him holding the feather. CXS's shirt is open while LG's is closed so it shows how open or closed people they are personality wise.
You can basically hear how LG starts to lose hope since the first "but we're gonna turn time around" around rises towards the end of the word but at the end of the song it fell instead.
Especially interesting line was in the rap part where LG says "you ain't just a tool" which is pretty much a thing you wouldn't say if you didn't mean the exact opposite. I therefore think that during the endless loop (which also is said in the song "take a journey through the endless loop of time" I don't think it stopped at three times) of timetraveling back and forth he started to use CXS more as a mean to learn what do all the changes he makes change in the current timeline.
About Surprising Click:
I haven't got to a deep analysis of this either. On the surface level it's a bit hypocritical song, since at least CXS sings about "baby no matter the past we just need to look forward in the future" while the aesthetic in the sing is retro. Nothing wrong with that but LG did the krhm so.
Also the "go click the parallel line" gave me the answer to why it is called Link Click
All the timelines are "websites" and photos are links they click to enter those.

guys do we not remember the old official art from s1 where angel xiaoshi is inside a clock looking at lu guang like he wants to escape while devil luguang is looking out towards us.... history repeats itselff 😭 now with break mv i am so happy theyre using this symbolism again bc now it makes more sense

I just recently got into Link Click and damn, I'm so scared of the future because i freaking love CXS a LOT and really like LG, i predict me sobbing in the near future already 😭

In the song called: Break, did you notice that CXS is represented as Saturn? while LG is represented as an hourglass, and not only that, but LG is like locked in its own time, and CXS is outside, something I looked for is that Saturn, its symbolism is the passage of time, is related to laws, experience, and on many occasions it is called: the planet of destiny... It is quite curious that they compare it with a planet and make the metaphor that perhaps, it is the one that is putting obstacles in Lu Guang's life (there Yes, I digress...) while the hourglass means a loop, repeating the same process over and over, Lu Guang identifies himself as the viewer... (with camera-shaped eyes) and not only that, but As you said, this song is positive, it talks about the strength of the two in the face of their obstacles, against whom? We'll see 👀.. A, another detail, Cheng Xiashi looks tired when they show him.. (as if they had revived him again lol)
And the most incredible thing is that in the promotional art, Lu Guang has horns, and Cheng Xiaoshi has a halo, quite metaphorical I would say.
Also, I don't know if I'm right, but the lyrics say something about reversing time, unless they reverse their roles and not only that, but in one part it says: you're not just a tool, maybe it refers to the gears, which It would be CXS representing the piece that makes the clock turn. But we are talking about a clock: hours, minutes and seconds, and an hourglass, which ends and you turn it to start again. an example: "I saw my destiny pass before my eyes" (image: an eye and within the eyes is Saturn) Did Lu Guang see Cheng Xiaoshi's life pass by? Play your role (both have to play their role) don't run away... Cheng Xiaoshi was running away (or one of the two) (image: Lu guang talking to Cheng Xiaoshi) there are many letters that mean something..

I clearly should have looked into the backgrounds more because it brings up such a cool metaphor! Like you said Saturn has a lot of meaning, like restrictions/law. It makes a lot of sense for it be associated with Cheng Xiaoshi, considering he is fated to die. In the MV, Lu Guang is pictured a lot with/away from Saturn, implying that he has surpassed limitation.
I just looked at the poster too. The halo and horns in their shadows is so on the nose haha
adding to this, saturn isn't only a planet, the planet is originally named after Saturn (kind of) the roman god of time, but also kind of the roman counterpart of the greek "Cronos/Kronos" who was the Titan of time, child of Uranus and Gaea (the sky and the earth) in greek mythology. the modern symbolism also does go calling Cronos the father of time, with a scythe in hand which has its own myth. in short this is why the planet symbolizes those things.
@@VIVIDLIE but yes, the thing about the horns and the halo I love it, at times they look far away, and something seems to be separating them, be it lines, mirrors, clocks, different planes... many things that are equally interesting.
@@hsbr2434 Interesting, I read about that, imagine that at the end of the day CXS is a god who controls time, and is doing different tests on LG, truly crazy... but yes, keep in mind how important the planet is Saturn... surely it shows in the Yingdu episode, or in the third season.
about the qiao ling theory:
after li tianxi's death, it is heavily implied that qiao ling got her powers. sometime in season 2, Li tianxi was asked to delve into lu guang's memories in order to find out where he was , only for her to end up crying which is implied that she might have seen something she shouldnt have. in then welcoming party at the end of season 2 you can see qiao ling pondering about a "memory" she saw of cheng xiaoshi dying though she quickly dismisses it. since she got the power of li tianxi, i believe she also has all of the memories she had which included lu guangs hense why she was able to have a glimpse of cheng xiaoshi dying so she will be probably be a key in season 3, to find out what lu guang did and why.
Adding on to another theory, if you can carefully see at 22:20 in the last episode of link click s2, you can see that qiao ling has a singular strand of white hair. why do that? and why should it appear right after she got li tianxi's powers? my theory is that every time you recieve someones power, a strand of your hair turns white which leads me to the theory that lu guang might have traveled back in time, witness cheng xiaoshis death and recieve his power so many times that led to his hair completely turning white.

As much as I love the white hair theory it wouldn’t make sense when you consider the amount of times Lu guang has dived back and how he only implied he had one last attempt out of I think five
I was trying to skim to the timestamp you mentioned and accidentally clicked on the part where Lu Guang screamed no 😔 Looks like the whiteish strand of her hair could've just been sunlight, though!
@@danalynch118 bro that’s actually so true lol I may have exaggerated “singular piece of hair” turns white but in the music video “break” you can see that that the bottom of Cheng xiaoshis hair is kinda turning white? I guess it’s in a greyish color, then again it could be the light so maybe going back in time turns your hair white? idk. Also i dunno if you watched the live action yet, but Lu guangs hair is black and in that series he never met Cheng xiaoshi so this has to be set before season 1 started because in the donguha, Cheng xiaoshi was acquainted with Lu guang in season 1 and I believe that the London trip was also set before season 1 but I’m probably wrong lol anyways Lu guang couldn’t have traveled back in time bc he never met Cheng xiaoshi or witnessed his death which is why his hair is black but ay it’s just a speculation. What’s confusing about the live action is that I believe it was set before season one, but it has events in there that happened in season one of the donghua (the earthquake incident) and also has stuff that didn’t appear in the donghua so it’s pretty confusing, I wouldn’t be surprised that it’s an alternate timeline from all the times Lu guang dived back in time and it’s implied in the live action that he had a “mentor” so there might possible be others with the same power. I need someone to do a video on the live action 😫😫

From my understanding, the live action is completely unrelated to the main story! It’s a whole other show based on the same premise as link click. To be fair though, you could easily create an alternate universe theory with it haha
O have a theory - made totally out of thick air - QL will give the first picture of CX (from the basketball court) to LG in the future of the timeline we witness. That's why she has no idea what is going on yet. Maybe in the original timeline he went missing or they lost touch as they grew up? LG took the picture and by mistake made CX die and now he tries to fix his mistake, and since he screwed up time agent's job already, he keeps on breaking the rules and keep on diving back to safe CX. The only way to make him stay alive is for LG to never take the commission from QL in the first place (and never meet CX). Maybe LG doesn't know that yet, and he thinks CX died naturally in his original timeline, and he has no idea it happened because he interfered. Once he will find out, he will realize he needs to leave CX's live for good and erase all memories they created together. To support my theory, LG's official flowers are forget-me-not.
I have different thoughts on some parts, but this is a really Interesting analysis 💖

4:22 Here I think Qiao Ling might have seen Cheng Xiao shi death after seeing Li Tianchen's power to see through people's memories. Since Li Tianchen has seen Lu Guang's memories and also got scared after seeing his memories I assume after her death when Qiao Ling got her power she might have seen all those memories that LI Tianchen have seen. It's just my assumption.
5:25 following this thought that qiao ling will assist lu guang and cheng xiaoshi (which is most likely)
i want to give some of my thoughts aswell instead of them both moving on from cheng xiaoshis death
all three will unite and find abt the secrets of their powers(?)
I'm referencing my theory to the s2 ending where we can see qiao ling helping lu guang and Cheng xiaoshi through a screen (can be interpreted as using li tianzis ability) and lu guang and cheng xiaoshi going into the photo to find out about their powers? (cuz as we know lu guang has cheng xiaoshis power as well)
but thats just my wishful thinking as i dont want any of the three to die 😢
From a logical standpoint CXS needs to die otherwise it would create a paradox. Lu Guang goes back in the first place because CXS died. If CXS didn't die then Lu Guang wouldn't have a reason to keep going back in time which would explain why he has been unsuccessful in saving him at this point. However, these types of shows don't always adhere to logic, so a happy ending isn't totally out of the realm of possibilities. We need more context and to see what powers the newer characters have.
Honestly I’m telling you they’re somehow gonna make surprising click depressing somehow. It’s gonna be all “oh this is what their relationship was like before CXS first death and that’s why he doesn’t want him to die bc it was so cute and happy” or some bs. I’m calling it now. Also someone mentioned something interesting about how the star on CXSs check wasn’t filled in and how it could connect to that

I sorta disagree to some things… and maybe I’m in the minority here ( I wouldn’t be surprised 😂 ) but what if Break takes place after the first two attempts? Or even after all the alleged 3? On a 4th we haven’t seen yet? Idk, I’m kinda on the fence about pointing the ending towards the conclusion of ‘Xiaoshi must die for everything to be right again.’
Especially Xiaoshi of all people? The person who almost never backs down if he knows he can fight through a situation. Yeah, everything that’s suppose to happen, inevitably will happen… but like in s2 e10, Xiaoshi admits his own impulsivity + carelessness may lead to an even more unpredictable outcome. 🤷♀️ Idk, I personally feel like the series pointing to Xiaoshi dying and constantly pushing everyone’s minds to that conclusion feels too convenient. I feel like while everyone is doom and gloom, the series is gonna spring a twist on us and I’m eager to see what that will be

I think it could be a huge possibility given what we have seen in the teasers for the London trip. Makes sense that the writers choose to use eight episodes to show the past of Lu Guang that is obviously going to play a very important role in the third season. It’s probably a long backstory and it could actually be quite clever for them to show how Cheng Xiaoshi died the first time like this instead of rushing it trough flashbacks on season three lol.
I want to share my theory about link click, maybe in season 3 or in the other future seasons, LG might think that CXS wouldn't die if he didn't meet him, so he might change the day they met and actually Lu Guangs flower things name, "remembarance/forget me not" is suits it. Maybe its not all true but its just a theory i wanna share

Now know as the ‘Bridon’ arc, (I’m guess it’s a fictional mix of London and Brighton to avoid issues haha), it is the third season of link click consisting of 8 episodes. It will be released in winter 2024, an exact date is yet to be announced.

It’s a flashback to their holiday, which I think was 3 years ago ?
