When I finally understood that I think I’m not needy but I actually am.. my jaw dropped. I’m not joking, I stood up, put my hands on my head and opened my mouth in realization. God is much more important than anything I have and the things that I’m apart of. It is true, I haven and still am growing up in a really nice area. I do not actually have money myself because I’m only 13 but I have food, a shelter, a warm bed, clothing.. the simple things that I need. The problem is that I don’t thank God for those things everyday. I do thank God however, for wanting the ability to give. I try to give to charity when my school says it and whenever I give money I’m like “But even if I give all my money it won’t be enough for those people.” I still continue to give.
You are right where God wants you to be. You have wisdom that even many adults do not have. Continue to grow in Your faith and obey the Lord.
You are all ready much more prosperous in every area of life than you realize. Just stay close to Him. God bless.

Whenever I am consistent in tithing, God provides abundantly. When I do not, the wells run dry, things need repairing, unexpected bills, it goes on & on..

Could you sell everything like Jesus asked the young man and give everything to the poor? A good test for ourselves to check who is our God.
@True Colors - This is what the KJV says : 1Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
It is not possible for a "translation" of the KJV to 'more correct' than the "Original KJV.

The rich young man was asked to sell everything because his wealth and possessions had hold of his heart. Some take this to the extreme and teach we must all sell everything to be a disciple of Christ.
While I do not agree with this view, it is a lesson to put God first in our life and love not the things of this world which will perish and store our treasure in heaven. 💕

The problem is when you RELY on your money instead of Christ, when your heart is not with Christ - it is so easy to get everything your heart desires when you are rich that you fall in love with the world and are drawn to all kinds of temptations and lusts. Being rich itself is NOT wrong. There is nothing holy in being poor, trust me I have been there. A poor sinner. I am better off financially now and I have no emotional attachment to money. Money is a multiplier - whoever you are will be multiplied.
If you got enough money to buy food or smartphone then your Rich enough to live a Humble life

I think the preaching is clear. Wealth to us is different then the majority of the world. When America offers so much people can miss God. You do not have to sell all you own but you need to have Jesus in your heart and life. He offers real riches! In essence having money makes it easier to not lean on the lord. You may not find repentance, forgiveness and lose eternal life! All because of money. We enjoy a higher standard of living then the rest of the world. How wonderful! But do not fool yourself. Without Jesus Christ and his shed blood for the remission of sin you will not see the kingdom of heaven. Understand your a sinner..christ died for you...invite him into your heart and life
I guess I would say don't get caught up in the rhetoric of money and all it brings. It the the love of money that is a problem. Not money itself. Having money allows you to feel like you have "control" and clearly priest you and I control nothing. It is the holy spirit that allows blessings. You can choose to idolize money...that is a sin un Gods eyes. So what about poverty and 3rd world countries???...per capita they are not even close to anyone of us. Just in sheer numbers alone they are impoverished however, that's not the point. Anything that interferes with a human laying their burdens on the lord money or otherwise is a problem for the lord jesus. Maybe as we see "money" the lord jesus just sees our hearts rich or poor America...or some 3rd world population. We as a privileged nation need to "go into all the world and preach the gosprl". God doesn't need money. If you give it with a hard heart. Be a "joyful giver". God can do so much with so little. His wisdom is infinate... his time is not our time. Man is appointed once to die "then judgement". So wether you become rich priest or spend your days just making ends meat. raise your blessings to the lord of lords king of kings. "The poor will be with you always" says Jesus. That doesn't mean stop spreading the gospel or grapple to long over the issue of money. He is not willing that ONE should parish. Priest our lord cares little about money...but he is concerned with your heart. Money offers many uses temptations trials trappings of many sorts. It offers success and comforts in this lifetime. But in the end it burns just as easily as a soul that cannot find Jesus because of earthly pleasures money may bring. Life may be a struggle priest but nobody's hanging us on a cross like they did our savior lord jesus. God bless you priest...and may your desires echo the desires of our lord jesus for your life.

Love is the most precious thing in this life and some have to work hard for it, but, we got it free from our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us. He said you got it freely, so give freely. It is the only commandment he gave us to follow. Let us be rich in love. Love for God and our fellowmen, more precious than money, gold, silver and precious gems. Great sermon I love the topic and the outlook of life this pastor presents to us. Showing how blessed we truly are to live in this country. And we should all be on fire for the lord!! And grateful to have been born into a country where we can praise the lord without any retaliation on our beliefs in him. Because we all know our belief in him is our only way to enter the gates of heaven. John 3:16?for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. Wow, I've never looked at myself as monetarily rich until this sermon, which is now one of my very favorites. One thing I have been aware of though since my having been born again, is that the greatest fortune, is in our hearts, and that's Jesus Christ. He renewed my heart and allowed me to take back my mind from Satan and the demonic spirits that stole it from me as I unknowingly surrendered it to them. Jesus changed my life, just like he promised, to offer life more abundantly.

This is such a needed message in the materialistic west. It's ironic how in America people used to have a more difficult subsistence based lifestyle with much less material wealth but generally divorce was rare, families ate meals together and people actually socialized face to face. I read somewhere that the 'needle' was a narrow gate in Jerusalem. In order for the camels to get through the entrance, they had to unburden the camels. Makes more sense now. We have to unburden ourselves in order to follow Christ on the narrow path.

Well, that was just a slap in the face. I love this message because it really puts things into perspective. My jaw was on the floor through most of the sermon. Like, I was probably worried about money a day or two ago, but now that know that I'm "rich", I feel greatful. What's more is I never quite gleaned this message from those passages before. I'm a blue collar guy who lives paycheck to paycheck for the most part. I'm going to 40 years old next year, and I have nothing for retirement yet. So when I think of what a rich man is, I always sort of picture some wallstreet high roller living on ocean front property with six $50,000 cars in one of his two garages on one of his 8 properties, not including his yacht and 3 vacation homes. So to suddenly find out that I'm rich, is news to me. Thank you.

3. We ask God for a baptism in His Agape Love and submerge ourselves in it.
We make the choice to let go of our selfishness that we live in our flesh. That's when we truly gain the Life Of The Spirit in Abundance.
SUBMITTING AND DEATH TO SELF IS NOT A ONE DAY OCCURRENCE, BUT A EVENT TO RE AFFIRM WITH THE LORD DAILY, AND TO MOVE TO DEEPER LEVELS OF.
when we transform from Glory to Glory we are always moving to deeper levels with God, Greater Humility, Greater Submission, Greater Death to Self. We never arrive on this side of Heaven.
