Also in the lore…it was not Vorian who kills Griffin(harkonnen brother)…it was twins of Agamemnon…and Vorian actually feels guilty for Griffins death as they had a duel in Arrakis and Griffin won that duel but chose not to kill him…Vorian also sent money to the Harkonnens for this….so don’t know what Valya is smoking in dune prophecy…
I just hope we do eventually see Vorian. Interesting character. He keeps a low profile because being effectively immortal sucks (multiple generations of his offspring have died before him now)
It would be consistent with the (Frank Herbert) Dune universe if he were a GHOLA of Vorian. Given that we know (after the ending of E04) that the Tleilaxu are in the picture, this now looks very likely.
Vorian Atreides defeated most of the thinking Machines but the thinking machine Erasmus survived the Butlerian Jihad and lived after the God Emperor and made a Peace between Thinking Machines and Humans
Morality is all well and good when you aren't willing to laid it down when need is not only great but necessary. Sometimes, you have to dance in the darkness to save the light, even if you won't live to see it.

I'm pretty sure she blames vorian in the books as well
Tough sell for Vorian and Desmond to be the same person, but he's involved. They mention his his name at least twice in episode 3, too.
I'm excited to see what they decide to adapt and take inspiration from. They seem to have done their homework, so I'm interested!

Travis Fimmel in interviews said that Desmond hart has lost someone and wants to avenge someone….something like that…
And childhood trauma 🫣

I'm thinking Desmond Hart and Vorian Atreides are one and the same.
Or somehow connected.
Edit: was I wrong.
Connected, perhaps. Not the same person though
Identical siamese cousins connected at the spine?

He was born privilege and then became woke. That is your Gen Z summary.
