Great review, thank you! I have this play kit & your tips on different ways to use the rhyming puzzle & sand activity are very helpful. My favorite item is the weekly planning board & my daughter likes everything!

I agree with you - rhyming games with just two words can be confusing for kids. For anyone looking for another fabulous dupe for a rhyming words puzzle: spark innovations (amazon) has such a fun one. It is an actual 4 piece puzzle that shows a picture of 4 rhyming words (e.g. a sleeping (sleep) sheep in a jeep, the horn going peep). Absolutely brilliant - our just turned 4 year old got it for her birthday and finds it so hilarious, it turned out to be her favorite present.

Ahh that does look fun! And probably good and easy for the littles because they can see the pictures overlap while they're learning!
Here's the puzzle she's referring to for anyone reading: bit.ly/3QT7wgM

Do you allow your children screen time? If so how much time do you allow? I’ve recently decided to reduce screen time because my daughter mimic’s a lot of the characters behavior in the programs & I feel like it’s causing discipline issues.

Yes! It's definitely ebbed and flowed over the years and we dealt with our share of behavioral issues (I hid our TV at one point when my oldest was 1 haha!) But at this point we have our system pretty much on lock:
With the time change it's 40 min. They each get one episode then it goes off. When the daylight was longer they'd get 3 episodes so it was like an hour.
We only let them watch Elinor Wonders Why, When You Give A Mouse A Cookie, Guess How Much I Love You, Tumble Leaf, Stinky & Dirty, and Snowy Day - all on Amazon prime. As a general rule of thumb, Amazon Prime has the shows with the least behavioral issues related to them because their business model isn't built on you binging. So you'll find more shows with less stimulation, more muted colors, slower scenes, etc - of course they crazy shows too, but it's the best network we've found with the most options. I use "digital credits" from delaying my shipping to buy more episodes for free every month.
When we are in a house that has netflix on the TVs we do let them watch Gabby's Dollhouse, Trash Truck (a favorite of mine and on our approved list, sometimes we find episodes on TH-cam since we don't have netflix). She used to be allowed to watch Ridley Jones then it got a little crazy so only some of the episodes of the first season.
      Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for sharing the shows you allow. I will for sure try these when I give her screen time.
