How to reach?
Batam is a part of Indonesia and is just 40kms from Singapore
The easiest way to travel from Singapore to Batam is Ferry and takes 1 hr. There are many ferry operators like Horizon, Sindo, Batam fast, Majestic.

On an average the return ticket cost you 70 SGD, which is around 4200/- INR.
The best route is from Harbour Front (Singapore) to Batam Center (Batam)
VISA
Indonesia offers single entry Visa On Arrival (VOA) to Indians and it costs 50,000 Indonesia Rupiah (IDR) or 50 SGD. It is better to convert the currency in Singapore and pay in IDR as this will save 6 SGD
SIM
You can take local SIM from Batam center ferry terminal
Hotels
Stay is pretty cheap in Batam, you can get from budget to 5 star hotels.
The budget hotel you can get in around 1200/- INR.
Taxi
Grab and bolt app are the most popular for car taxi and bike taxi.

@@EXPLOREWITHDAMAN Bro, it depends where in Indonesia are you travelling. For Batam, you already checked this video. Batam is fairly cheap and you do not have to think much.
Good Hotel will be around 1200/- to 2000/- Indian Rupees
Bike taxi is pretty cheap, down those two apps and keep change with you always.
Waise bhi singapore ghoomne ke baad Indonesia kaafi sasta lagega..
Tip: You can exchange some of the Indonesian currency at airport or ferry terminal. You will not get that good rates.
But there are local shops in the city, kindly negotiate there and you can get good rates

Stay is cheap, but finding vegetarian food is challenge, so i kept cup noodles
For transport, i suggest you to hire scooter.
Overall its cheap place
1200/- mein to bahut sahi hai room. India mein to 2-2.5K se kam mein kahin bhi nahi milega aisa room.
Haan, Batam island is cheap, everything is cheap 😉
