Great to see you, Shane! People have been way too hard on this song. I don't know if it's because their song didn't win or if they genuinely dislike it. I was very pleasantly surprised with the live performance and thought it deserved to win, but I have no plans to fall on any swords over it, either.
Knez is a Montenegrin, as all the others here. But as many other Montenegrin singers he works/lives in Belgrade (Serbia), due to the very small and limited music market in Montenegro. Those usually have dual citizenship.
Shane! You are pumping out videos like crazy these days and I’m all about it. Strange now watching you at night instead of while walking to work in the morning. #asianlife
Shane!! Nice to see you back for Eurovision 2025. I haven't actually listened to this one yet, but my expectations are very low given that it is my typical genre and the snippets I've heard aren't encouraging. Buttttt, you're right with No Doubt. The song you're looking for is Hella Good. Happy new Eurovision year!
So funny to hear your description of Nina "she got pipes"....exactly what you said about Igranka....and not seeing you joining up the dots Throw that in your bloopers showreel 👏👏🤣🤣🤣
I'm not sure how I feel about Montenegros song tbh. I'm certainly not a massive fan of it but it does keep getting stuck in my head. An interesting start to the 2025 lineup!
Hey Shane, I really liked it that you first watched the anterior Montenegro songs, that does help watch it all from a bit of a different perspective, cool. I am going to do the same from now on 😁. I actually only remembered 2014, because I also loved the skater and remember that well, and 2022 because I really felt sorry they didn't qualify that year. The satellite dish in her dress didn't work well in the visuals for me, but the song was stunning in my opinion. About this year's nationals. Like you, none stood out for me at first, but the live performances changed it all. I think it was an amazing show (especially having in account the low budget they probably had) and that there was a load of talent and great vocalists, I was really impressed. My personal favourites were Tamara and Nina before the lives, but Tamara was a bit wobbely, the outfit didn't work well either, and Nina did't stand out as amazingly as I expected. I think Nemanja did a nice job too, though it wasn't my cup of tea. Then, Clickbait was not at all on my radar before, but I reeeeaaallly liked their live performance. Actually not a surprise for a rock-chick like me maybe (I am with you on No Doubt) and this type of rocksong does sound a bit 90's, it reminds me a little bit of David Bowie to be honest. Is it a masterpiece? Not at all. Does it need some work? Yes, definately. For me the start is good, then I get a bit bored, then after minute 2 it gets interesting again, so they need to work on that a bit I believe. Nevertheless, I think that their stage presence makes up for those moments that you get a bit disconnected. But most of all, I personally don't understand the negativity, I think it has good potential; the catchy lyrics, the clickbait movement with the hand, the vibe of the entire staging, the story behind the song, the visuals, the vocals and of course the lust for eye hotties 😇. I really like it and I think Montenegro did well in picking something like Clickbait this time. Love ya 🤗 !
Wiwi just released a video interview and they explain the meaning of the song and staging… pretty ironic the song talks about online negativity and this is what they are getting. Every year it seems the fandom zeroes in on one act to ridicule and destroy.
@@vincentf6527 Yeah, very ironic, and a very accurate topic then. The cool thing is that I think the song will only grow because of it, so that part of the fandom is only doing them a favour 😁. I actually also believe that whatever song Montenegro would have chosen, that part fo the fandom would have gone for it the negative way. If they hadn't been the first in coming up with a song, the attention wouldn't have been so negative. The negative section of the fandom was just clearly ready and full of energy, like sharks waiting, to bait the first song to come out. But these guys don't look like they care much and the fact that they were popular both in the juryvote as in the televoting of their country will make them feel strong. And then about the fandom I am sooo sooo decided to stau far far away from the negative fandom this year. No way that I am going to let my season be poisoned by bored negative people. I'll just stay with my positive kings; Vince, Giorgi and Shane 👑👑👑. You 3 boys make me feel like: She, queen of the kings, runnin' so fast, beatin' the wind, nothin' in this world can stop the spread of her wings. She, queen of the kings, broken her cage, threw out the keys, she will be the warrior of the North and Southern Seas 😁. 😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗
@@vincentf6527 Vince, I am watching the interview now, I LOVE these guys already, so humble and cool from their car hahaha ! Hey and now beardman has a name and a function; Milan the drummer😍😉
@ yeah, I also want to have fun. Everything and everyone is so polarized. Eurovision is a scape for me. I ended up unsuscribing from most channels earlier this year due to their poor handling of the drama with a certain country… if I wanted politics I watch the news.
Hi, in the description it says This year's winner, NeonoeN with their song "Clickbait", will represent Montenegro at Eurovision 2024 in Basel Should say Eurovision 2025😅
Hello Shane! 😊 Clickbait is unfortunately not a song for me, apologies to those who have a different opinion. You know me, I want dynamics in the vocals or in the song, preferably in both. It can also involve varying and colorful harmonies, crescendo or decrescendo, changes in rhythm and so on. The problem here is that there are such small intervals between the tones and small shiftings without highs and lows. Which makes it sound very linear. I'm mainly referring to the lead vocals, aside some repetitive chords and the instrumental. It's is the opposite of dynamics, which keeps the listener interested through shifts in harmony, melody, rhythm and vocals. Dynamics create interesting contrasts in melody and vocals, it can make a great voice shine. This song is not particularly challenging to sing due to its small changes in the melody. The same melody loops are repeated and clickbait is repeated 20 times. I got tired already a bit into the song, it becomes very monotonous. Because of this, I also don't find this catchy like others do. Catchy for me have a beat that is more regular and keep me engaged, often faster. And has a groove often with a swinging chorus. (For example Schlager is often very catchy and goes in major). This refrain is repeated several times but it still feels stagnant to me. There is a lack of progression here, something small happens towards the end, yes, but it can't save it for me. This is my experience of the song, others have theirs as we interpret music differently. 😊 I hope we can respect each others different perceptions. 💖 There seem to be interesting messages here, which of course give dimension to the melody. But at the end of the day, if the song doesn't work for me, an interesting staging won't help. I'm sorry🙏. Happy for those who like it. Maybe a revamp can make me change my mind 😉. My favorite was Tamara and I would have preferred Nina because of the emotional expression and powerful vocals🌷
I really wanted Nina to win, but after giving Clickbait more listens, now I'm on board. I also think it will be nice to not send a ballad for a change. looking forward to see how it will be recieved at eurovision.😊💖
Big fan of the Igranka and Sergej attempts from watching them editions again relatively recently, easily their best efforts imo. If i had to pick another one to make up Montenegro’s Top 3 as of now i’d personally go Vanja because the rest do next to nothing for me😂 What to say in regards to Clickbait winning this selection… Well once it became clear that my personal Top 2 from the selection (Kejt and Tamara) didn’t stand a chance in the voting i was begging for Nina my third place to SAVE ME! As i find this entry simply awful and it will more than likely be rooted to the bottom of my ranking all season🫠Extremely disappointing that this is how Montenegro is returning with such a song i hope is already DoA🤦♂️
Mourning the loss of The Revelations at the start of your vids 🤣 Already seen people mention the Nina Zizic blunder on your part, so I won't mock you for that one 😜 'Clickbait' on studio version was fairly low down on my ranking, I found it somewhat repetitive. But something about the live performance I did enjoy and I think it does stick in your mind. Maybe people wanted Nina, but my worry is how it would do in a televote only semi-final. I am not so sure it would have qualified. Will this qualify? I am not really so sure. I gave my Circus Mircus vibes from 2022 and we all know how that ended up. But I actually quite like the song and not angry at the result. As for my favourite all time Montenegro song, it's 'Just Get Out of my Life' for me. I am a basic gay clearly 🤣
So we have our first song for Eurovision 2025? Thoughts? Let me know in the comments below 👇 ⬇
I'm so happy your back for this year. I was worried the Eurovision season wouldn't be the same without your videos. Thanks so much as always Shane :)
Awwwww that's such a sweet message. Thank you. 😊
Wellcome back 😊😊
Honestly (no surprise here) I really love "Clickbait" 😅😂❤ Eurovision 2025 is starting out great for me 😊😊
